Regardless of whether or not she has a small or big role, and looks pretty or not playing that role, Kong Hyo-jin’s ability to become her character and play it realistically is both her talent and weapon. And many of the roles she has played have proven it. Even when she openly expressed her desires, boldly showed her naked face, and spit out curses in film “Boomerang Family” earlier this year, like veteran actress Yoon Yeo-jung said, “It was a role that was perfect for her to the point that I couldn’t have imagined anyone else playing it.” If any other actress her age had played the part, it would have been a surprising and even shocking role to take on. But at the same time, maybe this is the case: her audience has become somewhat immune to seeing Kong being honest and outspoken on the screen. And it has become very natural for her to play the roles successfully although such has been the case only because it was she who played them. Nonetheless, all turned out to be groundless concern. It seems that there is no character she cannot go for, based on how she says there is much more for her to show than she has already shown.

T.O.P in talks for lead role in film 'Tazza 2'

Big Bang's T.O.P is in talks to play the lead role in upcoming film 'Tazza 2'!

According to insiders, T.O.P is reviewing the casting offer for the lead role of Hahm Dae Gil in the movie following up as the sequel to 'Tazza'. The film is directed by Kang Hyung Chul and written by Heo Young Man and takes viewers around Hahm Dae Gil's adventure in Seoul's gambling scene.

YG Entertainment cautiously revealed that T.O.P is indeed carefully reviewing the casting offer for now and that things are still in the negotiation stages, so we'll just have to wait and see whether he'll decide to pick this project up.

Once the lineup is confirmed, filming for 'Tazza 2' will begin later this year.

2013 One Hip Hop Festival Final Line Up

The final lineup for the ‘2013 One Hip Hop Festival’has been revealed. Underground hip hop legend Garion as well as M.I.B have been added to the list.

Other artists recently added include Bon Kim, and Block B's leader Zico with Ugly Duck.

This is the most large-scale hip hop festival in Korea featuring artists like Verbal Jint,Beenzino, Jay Park, Bumkey, Baechigi, Dok2, San E, and more. Even rappers Tyga and Nelly will be performing as well.

CJ E&M, who is in sponsoring the event, said, “This is the largest hip hop festival in Korea. We took the fact that the fans are in a wide age range into consideration to show true and real hip hop through the lineup performers. From Nelly and Tyga to talented underground Korean artists and even idols, the lineup will successfully express the genre of hip hop.”

The festival will take place on September 7 at the Ilsan’s Kintex Hall 8. You can purchase tickets here!

Crayon Pop explain they got their concept from DJ DOC, not Japan's Momoiro Clover Z

Controversy has popped up that Crayon Pop copied their unique concept for "Bar Bar Bar" from Japan's Momoiro Clover Z.

Photos comparing the two groups popped up online, including the girls' track suits, their 'Power Rangers' pose, and the name tags they always utilize, on and off stage.

Crayon Pop explained the concept by saying,

We are the female DJ DOC (legendary Korean group). DOC is our role model. The track suit concept from 'Dancing Queen' was originally a concept just for the promotions, and it's true that we got inspiration from DJ DOC, who are the girls' role models. We thought it fit the kicking and the energetic choreography, and we chose it because it was a concept girl groups hadn't done before on stage. After that, they wore the school uniforms on top of their track suits to create the 'school uniform-track suit- concept, and this concept has been continuing onto the 'Bar Bar Bar' promotions.

The name tag on the chest is used in all the music shows' dry rehearsals to tell rookies apart, and that day, it also became an idea, so they wore it on the actual performance as well.

The helmets were suggested by a member to emphasize the head at the 'Jumping' parts. (To emphasize the energy ball move, gloves were used). Since it also matched 'Bar Bar Bar's cartoon song theme, we decided on the concept.

Also, the helmet concept was used by other musicians such as 45rpm and Daft Punk.

SPICA's Bohyung talks about her YG trainee days and why she thinks she got cut from 2NE1

SPICA's Bohyung shared the secret story behind her YG trainee days on the latest installment of OnStyle's 'Lee Hyori's X Unni.'

It was revealed that Bohyung was a YG trainee and selected as a prospect member during the time 2NE1 was still in the planning process. Lee Hyori asked Bohyung why she thought she ultimately got cut from 2NE1 to which Bohyung responded, "I think I didn't have enough swag."

Lee Hyori also asked her if she was forced to leave YG Entertainment. Bohyung commented, "I was sitting alone in the practice room and Yang Hyun Suk came to me. It wasn't that I was short on talent but he explained to me that my color was different. He told me not to cry and to keep working hard. He supported me. I was a trainee for about a year after that."

Having unveiled their pre-release "Hate You" not too long ago, Ladies' Code will be back to release their 2nd mini album!

Here to hint at their upcoming return is an album image that indicates the title track of this new mini album is called "Pretty Pretty".

This track along with the mini album will be released early next month and the girls are aiming to show you a bright and lively image you haven't seen from them before with their comeback.
