The web portal had signed the up-and-coming idols to an advertising deal, setting the five girls prominently on its website. However, users began abandoning the website in protest of Crayon Pop's supposed ties to IlBe, a controversial Korean web board long associated with fringe groups and radical politics.
"This action was taken due to the strong protests from our users," said a representative for Auction. "However, we can't say for certain that Crayon Pop has been definitively dropped from our advertisements."
"It is true for any company to pay attention to the situation when their advertising models bring forth cultural divisions," they said. "We are paying close attention to how the situation unfolds."

Thinking back on the past while also pondering about the future, Yang Hyun Suk stated, "I remember 8 years ago when Big Bang was preparing for their debut. I met with approximately 10 media outlets. This was when the Internet wasn't fully utilized and developed the way it is now. So much has changed within the span of 8 years. YG's scale as a company has expanded and the world has changed a lot as well."

I investigated a little, and some of you might be familiar with their former incarnation as W&WHALE. Fluxus confirmed on yt that Whale will debut as a solo singer. W&JAS released a slightly shorter version of "Speed Up" for the Can We Get Married OST at the end of last year.
W includes guitarist 배영준 Bae Youngjoon, 한재원 Han Jaewon on keys, and 김상훈 Kim Sanghoon on bass, guitar, and drums.
The vocalist is Jas Chang, formerly of Loveholics (and possibly with a connection to The Voice Korea?).

Before I even start writing this, I am just so happy and honored about the fact that I can write about an album produced by myself. Honestly even in a team called BIGBANG, I was a member that was always far from having good musicianship. The fact that someone like me already released a 2nd solo mini album makes me feel so touched and amazed. Music is something that should never be taken lightly. Because it is something that you need unconditionally. Music that has the strength to move one’s heart was just so beautiful and it was something that I couldn’t easily approach. And I finally thought that I should start doing ‘Real’ music.

YG Entertainment held a press conference today for their upcoming survival program “WIN: Who Is Next?” which premieres August 23 through the cable channel Mnet at 10PM.
“WIN: Who Is Next?” is being produced by YG Entertainment to select the members of the agency’s next boy group. The agency’s last boy group debut was that of Big Bang seven years ago. Through the program, eleven of YG’s trainees will be divided up into two teams, “A” and “B,” and compete to win over the public’s hearts. Their fate rests in the public’s hands, as fans will be able to vote to decide which team gets to debut. The winning team will be using the official group name, “WINNER,” to debut right after the survival series finishes.
Included in team “A” is YG’s latest solo rookie artist, Kang Seung Yoon, and Lee Seung Hoon from the survival audition show “”K-Pop Star”.” The average age of the team is 20, and there are five members in the team.
Team “B” has six members with the average age of 17. B.I., a 17-year-old rapper who was featured in MC Mong‘s “Indian Boy” track back in 2009, is in team B. There is also Goo Joon Hwe from “K-Pop Star.”
“WIN” is slated for ten episodes and premieres August 23, first on Mnet at 10pm and then on tvN at 11:20pm. Stay tuned to Soompi for more updates from the press conference!

During a recent interview, Sunmi revealed, "While I was promoting as a member of the Wonder Girls, I once weighed below 40 kg (~88 lbs.). I normally went back and forth in the 41 kg (~90 lbs.) range, but to carry out my sexy concept and performance, I gained enough weight to be 47 kg (~103 lbs.)."
She also went on to say something that most people would be envious of. She explained, "When I was at my heaviest, I was 52 kg (~114 lbs).This may sound absurd but while I was promoting when I was young, I was so skinny that people would tell me to gain weight sometimes."

13 Kpop acts has been confirmed to perform at the MBC Korean Music Wave in Singapore on 16 November at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay.
The stunning line-up idol acts include SHINee, EXO, 2PM, 2AM, FTISLAND, B1A4, TeenTop, B.A.P, Kara, SISTAR, miss A, IU and 4minute, with mystery superstars set to be MCs for the night.
B1A4, TeenTop and miss A were present at a press conference in Seoul today (20 Aug), for the official announcement of the concert in Singapore.
They shared their excitement on being able to meet their Singapore fans and have fun at this one-night only concert.
MBC will be broadcasting the concert over its free-to-air station in Korea, and its delayed broadcast will reach up to 10 million viewers.
Tickets to this Kpop music extravaganza in Singapore will go on sale from 2 September via www.singtic.com. Fans will be able to make priority bookings for their tickets at *SCAPE on 1 September from 9am to 6pm.

Brian made his return in 1-and-a-half-years with "Pretty Woman" which is composed by ZO and features the rap styling of Mario. This is also the 3rd single to be released from Rainbowbridge Agency's 'The Artist Diary Project'.
