Article talks about how a lot of girl group members are leaving their groups to go back to school but the school ends up either as an excuse or a lie for other activities. Mentions Yookyung's controversy, Jihae leaving Girl's Day for school but currently promoting as an actress, Soyoung leaving After School for school and her health but also switching paths to an actress, Chanmi, three members leaving EXID, which sparked rumors of team discord, Sunmi, and finally Riko from Rania.
1. [+400, -3] Sunmi supposedly left the group for her education but I haven't seen her once for the past few years when I pass by her department building at Dongguk University every single day. Nobody else in my major has ever seen her either. She left for school but she's never at school so what exactly is she doing?
2. [+347, -5] What's the point about leaving for your education and then coming back as an actress?
3. [+308, -2] I wonder how genuine they are when they go from singing and dancing all day to suddenly wanting to focus on your education
4. [+230, -8] Instead of lying about leaving the group for their education, they should just admit it from the start that they want to go into acting. It's because they use excuses like education that no one believes that there are all these rumors about bullying and discord. And do they seriously think they can act if they couldn't even stay in a group that expects the bare minimum from them in terms of performance?
5. [+221, -20] Soshi is really at the top when it comes to things like this. Other groups go through so many member changes but the nine of them have stuck through it for over 5 years.

whenever an snsd member drops by school for class, there are tons of pictures of them there. so maybe there's at least some truth in this :(

Excerpts from "P!nk Holds at No. 1 on Hot 100, While Rihanna Rules at Radio"
Outside the top 10, notable for its plunge on the Hot 100 is K-Pop star PSY's "Gentleman," which tumbles 5-26. The song debuted at No. 12 two weeks ago, powered by initial online buzz for its video. It falls 1-6 after two weeks atop Streaming Songs (4.7 million U.S. streams, down 66%), even ranking below his breakout hit from last year, "Gangnam Style," which holds at No. 3 on Streaming Songs (5.3 million, down 22%). ("Gentleman" is now up to 252 million YouTube views worldwide [as of this posting]; the Hot 100, however, includes only U.S. views each week.)
Sales for "Gentleman" also decrease by 50% to 36,000. The song's 1.2 million in radio audience is not yet a significant factor in its chart fortunes, accounting for just 1% of its Hot 100 chart points.

In tvN “SNL Korea’s” broadcast on the 4th, Shinhwa, who appeared as hosts, showed a comedic side to themselves either by cross-dressing as a woman with paddings, golden wig and a beautifully made-up face or wearing traditional hats from Joseon Dynasty and putting on mustaches.

Group Shinhwa, who debuted in 1998, is called “the ancestors of idols” along with Fin.K.L, SES, and HOT.

This whole ep killed me dead, kpop's most legendary ajusshis kicking butt and taking names as usual. I'd add the ep on a video site but I haven't seen it yet! Although HERE is the motorcycle sketch, until YT takes it down

He's looking really good at the fansign, but the fact he's using self tanner has me TERRIFIED. I assume it's for the movie, but ugh I hope he's careful. I don't want him to look like an orange carrot...

According to the latest report by Freedom House, a U.S.-based human rights organization, the level of press freedom here rose this year as Korea ranked 64th out of 196 countries, tying it with Israel, Chile and Namibia. It moved up from 68th last year.
Despite the slight improvement, however, Korea's media remains only "partly free" due to increased government censorship of news and information content. Its rating was downgraded from "free" to "partly free" in 2011.
Norway and Sweden topped this year’s list while North Korea, at the bottom of the index, ranked as one of the world's most tightly controlled.
