The new idol group’s second battle. One of the incomparable new rookie idol groups during this summer’s ‘debut crisis,’ have returned with their comeback right before the year-end awards ceremonies.

After debuting this past July, YEDANG’s idol group C-CLOWN have retransformed themselves and returned. After debuting just 4 months ago, they have returned with new visuals and upgraded abilities. The public interest surrounding C-CLOWN has begun again. Amongst the torrent of female soloists and male soloists one idol group stands apart with the release of their mini-album ‘YOUNG LOVE’ and the title track ‘멀어질까봐’ on November 15th. 

‘Now we’re even more nervous/excited than when it was our debut. We wanted to quickly show everyone how we’ve matured and grown. We want to make the name of C-CLOWN more distinctively wellknown now,’ C-CLOWN says. Their reasoning behind this is because of their overflowing self-confidence.

JYJ’s Agency Wins 1 Billion Won Lawsuit Against Album Distribution Company

JYJ’s C-Jes Entertainment has emerged victorious in its one billion won lawsuit.

The Seoul Central District Court recently ruled in favor of C-Jes Entertainment in its lawsuit against the album distribution company Asia Bridge Contents.

C-Jes Entertainment had initially agreed to produce the JYJ album, The Beginning together with company ‘K’. Asia Bridge Contents then gave an advance of one billion won to company ‘K’ on October 4.

However when company ‘K’ refused to return the one billion won to Asia Bridge Contents, the distribution company then filed a lawsuit against C-Jes Entertainment, demanding the agency return its one billion won.

However, the Seoul Central District Court deemed C-Jes Entertainment as being not liable and ruled against Asia Bridge Contents.

Song Ji Hyo speaks about her experience filming ‘Running Man’

Actress and ‘Running Man‘ cast member Song Ji Hyo expressed her feelings on what it means to be the only female member in a popular variety program.

“I had an idea about it beforehand, but when I started ‘Running Man’ I really found out that I was shy around men,” she confessed.

Although she seems to be the perfect fit for ‘Running Man’, she claimed that that wasn’t always the case. “I think people think that because by now, they’re used to be being on the show,” she said. “When I first came on the program, I still get shivers thinking about myself.”

Being the single female member had its benefits at first, she recollected. “Since I was the only female, and an actress, I think I got treated very well at first. Now? You probably can see for yourself, but now…” she trailed off, laughing.

“It took me one year to speak casually with Kim Jong Kook oppa,” she confessed. “It was hard for me to call him ‘oppa’ as well. The same thing goes towards HaHa and Gary. I used to always call them ‘sunbaenim’. 1 year later, somehow we’d become family. So even when we say mean things towards each other, we can brush it off lightly. I think that makes things more fun.”

After she became a fixed member, she received many questions about why she would want to do a variety show. “It’s always somewhat awkward. Maybe it’s just my train of thought, but I wonder why people make a difference between those who do variety and those who do acting,” she revealed. “Variety can also be a kind of work of art. Perhaps like a weekly drama? It’s a little different, but I wish people would not make too much out of it. I’ll also work hard to show a different side of myself. Because there’s no reason to keep it tucked away.”

NHK's "63rd Kohaku" will not have any K-Pop artist participants this year

Japanese media portal Nikkan Sports has revealed on November 26th that Japan's most prestigious end-of-the-year music show, NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" (Red and White Song Battle), will not feature any K-Pop artists this year. This was revealed just ahead of the song festival's formal announcement of this year's performers.

Last year, K-Pop artists TVXQ, Girls' Generation and KARA were all invited and participated in the Kohaku Uta Gassen.

According to the Nikkan Sports article, despite several Korean artists being active in Japan this year, the reason that no K-Pop artists have been invited to this year's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" festivities may be due to the Dokdo Island issue.

Since August, tension between Korea and Japan have risen after both countries sought claim on the Dokdo/Takeshima Island that is found between the two countries. Many in Japan have voiced out their "Hallyu Boycott" and Korean acts taking the stage have noticeably been reduced.

In addition to the "Kohaku Uta Gassen" event, Korean artists are also expected to not be invited to perform at other end-of-the-year festivals, "FNS Music Festival" and the "Best Hit Song Music Festival."

The "FNS Music Festival" revealed more than 60 of its invited artists at the beginning of the month, in which no Korean artists were listed.
