Psy Oppa Appeals to El Monte Mayor: Give Dismissed Lifeguards Their Jobs Back

Psy, the performer behind the viral video sensation "Gangnam Style," is throwing his support behind 13 El Monte city lifeguards and their supervisor who lost their jobs for parodying the popular hit.

"Unfortunately, I'm a rookie here. When I become a big star here, I really want to help them out because that's not fair. I don't think so," Psy said on MTV. "What did they do? They weren't wrong? I think it was off duty—that's what I heard. They can be more flexible to each other."

Psy asked the city's mayor to give the group their jobs back.

Psy reaches #1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart!

Psy has once again set another record as he has become the first Korean artist ever to rank #1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart!

It was already an amazing feat when the artist had broken into the top 100 and then the top 10 list on iTunes with a Korean song that was originally not even aimed at the international market, but it seems the “Gangnam Style” craze is stronger than ever for he now proudly stands at the top of the U.S. iTunes Chart.

In addition, he is still ranked #1 on the U.S. iTunes music video chart, and also maintains his position at #1 and other top spots on the iTunes charts for various countries including Canada, Denmark, Norway, New Zealand, and more.

Congratulations to Psy on another incredible feat!

GD and Jo Kwon have an "awkward" conversation on Twitter

The conversation began when G-Dragon tweeted to his followers just minutes before the release of his EP ‘One of a Kind‘, writing, “Come here!!! GD countdown live!! 1 minute left.”

After coming across G-Dragon’s post, Jo Kwon congratulated the singer on his new album by tweeting, “Hello :-) As expected, your music and style in this album are amazing ^^ [Good luck] on your promotions.”

G-Dragon tweeted back, “Thank you Mr. Kwon! This is awkward. Fighting…lol.”

Jo Kwon: “Yes!! This is a bit…awkward… Haha. I listened to your album before going to sleep last night. It’s indeed the best, hyung! Let’s become closer~ :-) lol.”

G-Dragon: “Yes. Thanks, and when I get the chance, I’ll give you a CD. Let’s get together~!”

The conversation came to an end with Jo Kwon, saying, “Yes~!! I’ll also bring my CD. Keke. Let’s see each other then.”

Fans who saw their exchange left comments like, “G-Dragon made it more awkward,” “That was cute,” and “They should take a photo together when they do meet.”

Male solo artist ‘B’ under suspicion for abuse of Propofol

It was reported just yesterday that an arrest warrant was filed against female celebrity ‘A‘ for possession and use of the sedative agent Propofol.

Just one day later on the 14th, the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency received information that popular singer ‘B’, who is currently serving his mandatory military service, had been using the drug as well.

After being informed that singer ‘B’ had been administering Propofol during his vacations, the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency forwarded the information to the military courts.

In addition, an associated member of the police force revealed that leads concerning celebrities abusing propofol started being reported years ago. They also mentioned that investigations have been continuously conducted since then.

Among other celebrities under suspicion was celebrity ‘C’, widely known for his/her gift of gab, and ‘all-around entertainer’ celebrity ‘D’. However, lack of evidence put a halt to the investigations.

D-unit Wooram breaks down in tears after seeing Boram's deteriorating health

Hip hop girl group member D-Unit Wooram shared her upset mind after meeting her sister Boram.

D-Unit went on the same stage with T-ARA on MBC's "Music Core." There haven't been a lot of chances for them to meet since T-ARA's performances were mostly pre-recorded.

Wooram became teary saying, "My sister lost too much weight. It looks like she couldn't eat because of the T-ARA rumor and problems."

Boram responded saying, "It's nothing to worry about. I'm good so don't worry."

Wooram said, "Since there are a lot of articles about T-ARA and the negative attentions, all of the members are probably very worried."

D-Unit's agency said "Boram and Wooram are very special siblings. It is good that they cheer for each other. I hope they both pursue healthy life as they continue their activities

U-KISS to receive Special Hallyu Achievement Award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism

U-KISS will receive a special achievement award in recognition for their contribution to the Hallyu Wave.

On the 19th, the boy group will attend Arirang TV‘s celebration event for their milestone of reaching over 100 Million clients. At the event, U-KISS will be awarded the ‘Special Hallyu Achievement Award‘ from the minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

Earlier this month U-KISS performed at the Tokyo Budokan in front of an estimated 10,000 fans, and like so have been continuously promoting their music.

A representative of U-KISS stated, “We’re very happy that we received this award which acknowledges us as an idol group that did our part in promoting Korean music. [U-KISS] will work harder not only in Korea, but overseas as well.”

Meanwhile, U-KISS will release their new album ‘Stop Girl‘ on the 20th and plans to actively promote in 10 countries including Thailand, Philippines, The United States, and China.

"According to CCM" T-ara Rejects Best Top Star Treatment in Hong Kong

T-ara will leave for their Hong Kong showcase tomorrow.

T-ara will leave Korea at 9:00 PM on September 17th and arrive at airport in Hong Kong on the 18th for their showcase in Hong Kong, which is being held at the Star Hall.

Hong Kong concert officials said T-ara will receive the best VVIP service while there, including using one member per car, which would be Lamborghinis, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls Royces and Ferraris.

T-ara's agency said on behalf of T-ara, "We really appreciate receiving the best treatment, but we persist going with the staff via buses instead of luxury cars."

T-ara's 3,000 showcase in Hong Kong was sold out, and T-ara will perform a total of seven of their previous hits, "Bo Peep Bo Peep", "Roly-Poly", "Lovey-Dovey", "DAY BY DAY", "Wae Ireoni", "I Go Crazy Because of You" and their new song "SEXY LOVE".

T-ara will receive the best "$700,000" (USD) treatment while in Hong Kong and will take time to promote themselves and appear on TV in Hong Kong as well as do interviews.
