'LOEN TREE' is the new label for the artist management of Loen Entertainment, and a creative brand to introduce to the public the new challenges taken on by its artists. Receiving much attention for the coming together of Korea's finest artists and producers, the first title song 'Sea of Moonlight' for LOEN TREE's first project album [SUMMER STORY] is a sweet harmony by IU and Fiestar. The beautiful lyrics sentimentally expressing how stars seem to be falling into the sea with its reflection of the moon and the SYNTH POP mood of the 80s will offer music fans emotions that are different from any other summer song.

MYNAME's JunQ has a talented sister with a great debut single

JunQ’s sister, 마음(Maeum), debuted on July 26th 2011 with her first single 내 마음을 받아줘 (Please Accept My Heart) featuring singer 양정승(Yang Jungseung), who is also the composer and writer.

According to JunQ in his interview with BNT News, his sister has put music aside to pursue her studies.

MYNAME's debut Japanese single enters the Oricon Chart in 9th place

Five-member Korean male group MYNAME has entered the Oricon Chart. On July 25th, MYNAME released their debut Japanese single and entered the Oricon Daily Single Chart in 9th place.

Their agency H2 Media said, "On July 25th, MYNAME released their debut single 'Message,' which has charted No.1 on the Tokyo Shibuya Tower Records. They have made a successful entrance into Japan with their single, which debuted in 9th place on the Oricon Chart."

MYNAME is currently managed by the Japanese agency that houses Ryu Siwon, Kwon Sangwoo and Jung Woosung. The agency will help bring awareness to MYNAME throughout Japan through vigorous promotions and broadcast activities.

Their debut Japanese single competed against Japanese artists, who also released their new singles on the 25th - EXILE (2nd; 44,396), Mayu Watanabe (3rd; 38,109), AAA, Eight Ranger (1st; 172,299) and more.

Meanwhile, MYNAME is schedule to appear on various television programs and radio programs during their promotions in Japan. U-Kiss also released their single "Dear My Friend," which debuted in 5th place.

Girls’ Generation will be performing at the “SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America” on August 10th at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California, and the organizers of the concert have planned a special event for the fans to win a chance for a fan meeting with their favorite artists.

Each fan club will need to sell at least 1,500 tickets, and each fan who has purchased a ticket will need to register his or her name, seat, and ticket number through the event’s website (www.absolutekpop.com/fanmeet.html) in order to be counted. Ticket registration will end on August 2, 2012 at 11:59 PM PST.

Every fan club with at least 1,500 registrations will be rewarded with a fan meeting with their favorite idol group! 150 fans will be selected for the fan meeting.

If you’ve bought your ticket already, head over to the event page and register your ticket and select Soshified to count towards the 1,500 tickets we need for a fan meeting. If you haven’t bought your ticket yet, now is the perfect time! Tickets can be purchased here.

The “K-Pop Super Concert in America” is taking place just days after Girls’ Generation’s fifth anniversary, and it would be a real treat to be able to share a fan meeting with them to celebrate. Let’s get those 1,500 registrations and get that opportunity.

ZE:A‘s Dongjun injured his back during MBC‘s ‘Idol Star Olympics‘.

During part 2 of MBC’s ‘Idol Star Olympics’ which aired on July 26th, Dongjun had slipped a little at the start of his 110m hurdle race, however, his competitive nature got the best of him and he jumped the hurdle regardless, causing injury to his back. Despite the pain, Dongjun powered through to finish the race.

After the race came to an end, Dongjun was escorted out with the help of a representative, and the singer had to unfortunately forfeit the 100 meter dash. “I was so nervous and fired up that I caused injury to myself,” Dongjun said. “It’s unfortunate because I wanted to participate in the 100 meter dash. I’m sorry.”

Because of injuries like Dongjun’s, the safety of these competitive and athletic variety programs are once again being questioned.

In related news, 2AM‘s Changmin, TEEN TOP‘s Niel, ZE:A’s Kim Dongjun, SHINee‘s Minho, Boyfriend‘s Donghyun, 2AM‘s Lim Seulong, INFINITE‘s Woohyun, and Dalmation‘s Simon participated during the 110m hurdle race. In the end, it was SHINee’s Minho who took home the gold medal.

Completing 'Love Rain' filming successfully, and receiving many happy birthday wishes
I also went on a summer vacation, and am having an enjoyable time doing schedules with my members lately~

A few days ago, I came to Japan for Love Rain promotions
I was happy because it seemed like a lot of people were showing interest in it^^
While in Japan, it was airing, so I watched the live broadcast of the first episode of Love Rain~ㅋㅋ
I took a picture..hohoㅋ It really made my heart flutter and was cool watching it here ㅇ_ㅇ

Two days from now is the day we see SONE

f(x)‘s Luna will be joining KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

A staff member from KBS announced on July 26th, “Luna will be joining ‘Immortal Song 2′ as a permanent member of the cast.”

The staff member continued, “Luna has shown her talented vocals in her activities as a singer and as a musical actress so anticipation is high as to what she will bring to ‘Immortal Song 2′. We feel like she will bring the same great talent she shows while performing with f(x) to the show.”

There was news in August of 2011 that Luna would be joining ‘Immortal Song 2′, but unfortunately, she was unable to. She’ll be participating in her first recording of the program on August 6th.

On another note, 4men‘s Shin Yong Jae will be returning to ‘Immortal Song 2′ in August, and Cha Jiyeon will also be joining the lineup.

Actor Dong Hyun Bae (Older brother of Big Bang‘s Taeyang) has been confirmed to join the cast of new film, ‘Alumnus‘.

The film is already drawing high interest from fans, as actress Han Yae Ri and Big Bang‘s T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun) have also been cast as the main leads.

i dont understand why the big companies have do it if theyre...well big? and realtime search rankings are stupid as fuck, just as stupid as realtime chart rankings it's like...so what? so and so's album went to #1 at 1am but dropped back to #nugu the next minute. Korea needs to take a chillpill with this ranking shit, everyone can do it so i don't see how this is a valid marker of popularity especially since it can be bought.

Japanese TV networks no longer interested in airing K-POP due to low ratings and lack of interest

The day of K-Pop's demise is getting closer. Whispers have begun to leak out of Fuji TV, one of the driving forces behind K-Pop in Japan, saying, "We cannot get ratings with this at all," signaling a beginning in the dismantling of the Hanryu.

Starting with the scandal of actor Takao Sosuke criticizing Fuji TV for creating the Korean boom by force in Japan, unpleasant feelings towards the wave as well as K-Pop started forming, centered online. With these feelings growing stronger, K-Pop acts KARA and Supernova saw their concert in Hyogo prefecture cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Even still, TV networks are trying to push the "K-POP BOOM" as always, but it's getting to the point where the lack of popularity is becoming hard to hide.

Finally, talk from within Fuji TV itself lamenting the lack of popularity of K-Pop currently have leaked.

"Now if a K-Pop idol goes on a TV show, honestly the numbers seem to fall. KARA and Shojojidai's decline in ratings is not as bad, but those groups with names no one knows have a real problem with ratings. Their staffs seem greatly perplexed. It seems that the day that K-Pop and the Korean Wave won't be heard from again is coming soon," said one Fuji TV employee.

As this authorized person said, it's been clear that TV shows have been pulling back on K-Pop related programming. For example, last year's "Natsu ga Kita!! HEY! HEY! HEY! Odaiba 'Nama' no Uta Matsuri" special featured multiple Korean idols groups, both popular artists and unknowns. However, this time the only one appearing will be Tohoshinki.

This year's "FNS Uta no Natsu Matsuri" will also not be featuring Korean idols.

One person related to a major network said, "Asahi TV, who does 'Music Station' recently decided to distance themselves from K-Pop. Besides the necessary Korean artists, they won't be allowing K-Pop idols on the show. They just don't get the ratings, and the network is getting flack from viewers online so it has to be like this."

There are quite a few artists aiming to have a hit in Japan, but it seems the situation has gotten stricter.
