For the past 19 weeks, MBC‘s headline variety program ‘Infinity Challenge‘ has been conspicuously missing. Its absence has served as, perhaps, the most significant reminder of the ongoing labor strike by MBC workers against the broadcast station’s top brass, its CEO Kim Jae Chul, and the lack of journalistic freedom and integrity.
However, if recent rumors are to be believed, the gaping hole in MBC’s Saturday evening lineup could possibly be filled in the weeks to come. Unconfirmed reports state that the labor union and MBC are sitting down to discuss a solution, led by MBC’s variety department, which has been the biggest loser of the whole ordeal with ratings dropping and viewers leaving for competing networks.
In the case of another MBC variety, ‘We Got Married‘, it has recently confirmed that viewers can expect to see a new episode on June 16th due to the efforts of temporary crew members. This leaves only ‘Infinity Challenge’ as the lone variety program still maintaining its off-air status.
The cast and crew of ‘Infinity Challenge’ have also been reported to have picked up press passes for the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympics in London and working on clearing out their other schedules, further fueling the speculation about a possible return.

In celebration of INFINITE‘s second anniversary since debut, Inspirits have set out to participate in charitable deeds!
One example of the many active fan pages that are celebrating INFINITE’s second anniversary is a fan page called ‘Nuna-pirit‘. On June 9th, ‘Nuna-pirit’ will be volunteering at the ‘One Love Infant Home for Disabilities‘ under the name of INFINITE and delivering a congratulatory message to the boys on their anniversary.
The members of the fan page have also stepped up to provide a total of 101 blood donor cards to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation along with 20 INFINITE albums.
As if that weren’t enough, the fan page has also donated 6,969 beans to Naver‘s ‘Happy Bean‘ charity program and a $852 USD cash donation to UNICEF. They will also be putting up advertisements commemorating the group’s anniversary today as well.
Congratulations to INFINITE on their second anniversary!

VIXX has started a contest for fans to remake the group’s robot symbol ‘ROVIX‘ (below), which was initially created by famous pop artist Charles Jang.
The contest launched as VIXX fans sent their versions of ‘ROVIX’ one by one on VIXX’ Twitter, and at the center of it all was VIXX rapper, Ravi.
Before the fans began to send in their drawings, footage of Ravi drawing ROVIX using graffiti as his art technique was released. The footage showed Ravi perfectly re-creating the VIXX symbol like a professional. Fans became inspired by him and started creating their own versions of ROVIX.
The agency commented, “The contest for the ROVIX drawing will end on the 19th at midnight, the day before ROVIX’s birthday on the 20th. The event is being held on VIXX’ official fan cafe.”
If you would like to participate in this special event, visit their official fan cafe and submit your very own version of ROVIX.
The 1st place winner will receive special edition ROVIX shoes!
