Pledis Entertainment has revealed that After School's Kahi is "graduating" from the group.

After School debuted in 2009 with the concept that members would eventually “graduate” out of the group. Leader and member Kahi will become one of its graduates.
Kahi will participate in the group’s June 17th encore concert in Tokyo, and finish up remaining promotional activities in Japan, which end this September, before preparing as an official solo artist.

As After School’s Japanese tour concert will be her last as a group member, Kahi plans to hold special solo performances during the encore concert as a way to thank fans.

Kahi stated, “To all the After School fans who have given so much love and to my members who have cried, laughed, and suffered with me since we debuted, I thank you all so much.” It’s reported that she’s planning to prepare for her solo album and study acting. She added, “I’ll try my best so that you can see a new side of Kahi.”

Kahi was known as a female singer with excellent dancing skills even before she debuted with After School. She also recently stepped into the acting world on KBS‘s ‘Dream High 2‘.

After School will be releasing their 5th mini-album on June 21. New member Gaeun will also be making a debut with their comeback.

After revealing that he’d be making a solo debut last month, 2PM‘s Wooyoung has returned with more details as the first solo debut of 2PM!

Although Junsu and Junho have experience releasing solo tracks through their Asia tour, Wooyoung will be the first member to formally release a solo album and promote it. Wooyoung’s album will include one self-composed song by fellow member Junho and will be comprised of five to six songs, making it a mini-album at length.

When asked why he is the first solo out of the other members, Wooyoung replied that it was by suggestion of J.Y. Park. “Jin Young hyung said that compared to the other members, I didn’t have a distinguishing factor all my own so he told me to release a solo album. I’m grateful that he’s giving me an opportunity like this.”

Wooyoung’s album will be released in July, with close friend 2AM‘s Jo Kwon‘s scheduled for the end of June.

JYP is known in the Korean music industry as a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, record producer, CEO, and founder of JYP Entertainment, and now, to add to the already long list, a headphone designer.
On Friday the 8th, JYP will launch his domestic brand of "Diamond Tears" headphones. On June 4th, JYP joined up with the American headphone giant, Monster, to release his own line of headphones. JYP has personally designed the headphones and Monster will be releasing them. The "Diamond Tears" headphones are the same ones that JYP was wearing when he participated as one of the judges on the SBS show, "K-Pop Star."
When asked why he had created these headphones, JYP was quoted saying, "Normally headphones are designed in the hip hop style, but these are different. The 'Diamond Tears' go well with pretty much anything."
To celebrate the headphones, a launch party was held on Friday the 1st. Many celebrity groups such as 2PM, 2AM, miss A, Wonder Girls, Ga-in, Min Hyo-rin, and even Noel Lee, the founder of Monster, arrived to support JYP. Of the groups that attended, 2PM, Wonder Girls, 2AM, and miss A all posed wearing pairs of the "Diamond Tears" headphones.
