Big Hit Entertainment & Source Music’s new girl group GLAM to debut in July

Hit producer Bang Shi Hyuk will be producing his very own girl group for the first time in his 14 year career.

On May 25th, Big Hit Entertainment announced that ‘GLAM‘ will be making their debut on July 16th in collaboration with Source Music. 8Eight and Kan Mi Yeon are housed under Source Music, while 2AM is under Big Hit Entertainment. For the past three years, the two companies have been working together to produce GLAM.

A representative revealed, “GLAM is comprisd of five members talented in singing, dancing, and playing instruments. The name means ‘Girls Be Ambitious’, and we hope that they’ll follow their name to produce ambitious, bright music.”

Bang Shi Hyuk added, “I actually feel sorry calling GLAM a girl group because they have genuine musical talent and passion. As opposed to producing them, it’s more accurate to say that I helped them realize their hidden musical potential and helped them foster that as a partner by their side.”

GLAM will be making their debut through an SBS-MTV reality music drama titled ‘GLAM’ in early June before the release of their debut album the following month.

GLAM unveils member Miso from ‘Birth of a Great Star’


MBC‘s ‘Birth of a Great Star‘ contestant Lee Miso has been revealed to be a member of Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music‘s upcoming girl group, GLAM.

On May 29th, GLAM’s official Facebook updated with a new video of Miso along with news officially confirming her placement into the group. Singing a cover of Pixie Lott’s “Everybody Hurts Sometimes“, Miso has been earning widespread attention for not only her talent, but the image transformation she’s undergone since her days as an audition contestant.

GLAM will be coming to public light through SBS-MTV‘s real music drama, ‘GLAM‘, which begins airing on June 6th.

GLAM releases trailer for upcoming reality series

Upcoming Big Hit Entertainment girl group GLAM has released the trailer for their new “real music drama” series ‘GLAM‘.

The series will follow the five girls of GLAM as they prepare for their debut next month.

‘GLAM’ will air its first episode on June 6, Wednesday at 8:30PM KST on SBS-MTV. The group debuts on July 16 KST.

Big Hit Entertainment’s GLAM to host a 24 hour live streaming of their practice room

Big Hit Entertainment’s upcoming girl group GLAM will be breaking its elusive image by partaking in a live streaming even where fans will be able to actually see just how difficult the training process is for an idol to see the stage lights.

Starting from June 5th, GLAM will be take part in “GLAM 24 CAM,” a “24 hour live streaming” project where fans will be able to watch the girls hard at work in practicing their talents, whether it be vocals or choreography. The project will give fans a taste of what kind of group GLAM will be as well as the passion they have in perfecting their talents before they enter the K-Pop industry.

“This event will show fans the various practice routines GLAM undergoes” says producer Bang Shi Hyuk, “Through the ‘GLAM 24 CAM’ the girls will be able to showcase their exquisite talents as well as the confidence they have in their own skills.”

Meanwhile, the girls will be making their broadcast TV debut through their own program titled “Real Music Drama: GLAM.” The show will air its pilot episode on June 6th on SBS-MTV.

Based off that one video, Zinni's breakdancing is sorta lacking. It's like she is doing some cool moves, but the moves don't flow well. Like the footwork is lacking at some parts. I'm no expert, but I give her props for the last part when she spins on her head.
