2PM’s Wooyoung drops more details on his upcoming solo album

After revealing that he’d be making a solo debut last month, 2PM‘s Wooyoung has returned with more details as the first solo debut of 2PM!

Although Junsu and Junho have experience releasing solo tracks through their Asia tour, Wooyoung will be the first member to formally release a solo album and promote it. Wooyoung’s album will include one self-composed song by fellow member Junho and will be comprised of five to six songs, making it a mini-album at length.

When asked why he is the first solo out of the other members, Wooyoung replied that it was by suggestion of J.Y. Park. “Jin Young hyung said that compared to the other members, I didn’t have a distinguishing factor all my own so he told me to release a solo album. I’m grateful that he’s giving me an opportunity like this.”

Wooyoung’s album will be released in July, with close friend 2AM‘s Jo Kwon‘s scheduled for the end of June.

10 fans? you're certainly new in k-pop. khun and taec might be the most famous 2pm members for general public but within fandom, woo has one of the biggest fans among the members. and don't forget that 2pm and its members monopoly advertising list last year. clearly, they are super popular in korea. and your faves can only wish/dream to be as funny as him.

Hmm, I always thought he'll make a good MC. He's a good overall performer, but a soloist?

So I guess in their post 2pm career, Chansung will have his gym, Junsu and Junho will be writing songs, Junsu working with other singers, Taec will continue his glorious acting career (at least he's tall and handsome, hopefully he'll learn to act along the way)and Nickkhun will do whatever he wants in Thailand.

i think he's the best dancer in 2pm. he's one of their more capable singers. he can have a cute/flower image and he can do a beastly image. it's just a matter of choosing the right song to promote to make this successful.

YES. I've been waiting for this for ages, ever since the stupid rumour came out about his stupid solo release. Other people may not get it, but I ADORE Wooyoung's voice. It's really unique and different and husky, and he's an electric performer. He's a serious triple threat--he can act, dance and sing all exceptionally well. I've probably listened to "Move On" at least four hundred times by now. I just love his voice and have always wanted a song with just his voice. TT-TT I'm so esscited for this. I can't wait to see what he brings. I will totally buy the shit of this mini.

Still kind of butthurt that Junsu doesn't have solo album. But Wooyoung have much bigger fanbase after Dream high so it's understandable. Still I think Woo is Park Jinyoung's fav in 2pm lol.
