On the May 20th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘, Dalmatian member, Simon will be performing along with Baek Ji Young to her new track, “Good Boy“.

According to reports, Baek Ji Young personally requested Simon’s presence. “Due to his busy schedule, B2ST‘s Junhyung can’t perform on the stage with me all the time. We had a problem, but after I saw Simon’s amazing rap skills, I asked someone who was acquainted with him to invite him“, the singer said.

According to Baek Ji Young’s agency, “There were a lot of proposals coming in due to the significant impact the rap part has on the song. Despite the intense competition, Simon was picked to sing the part. The two are currently practicing hard to show a perfect performance. You can anticipate them.”

Simon who has a Korean father and Japanese mother, is fluent in Korean, Japanese, and English. He is also talented in various areas like dancing and singing.

TRAX’s Jungmo fractures his collar bone

It has been belatedly revealed that Jungmo of rock band TRAX has fractured his collar bone.

On May 19th, TRAX’s management company, SM Entertainment, stated, “Jungmo fractured his collar bone around the end of April while he was exercising with friends.” This led to a cancellation of his activities and he is reportedly spending most of his time at home to rest.

In regards to future activities, it seems that the immediate plans are unclear for his right arm has been debilitated by the injury. The representative from SM Entertainment added, “We will think about the future activities depending on his recovery progress.”

Jungmo was originally scheduled to take part in the ‘World DJ Festival‘ with SM choreographerHwang Sang Hoon coming up on the 28th, but it seems that the appearance has been cast in doubt.

trot MV includes real exorcism in MV, gets banned

Trot singer Jang Yoon-jung’s music video to her hit-song “Call the Soul” has been banned on three terrestrial networks - MBC, SBS and KBS - as it was deemed unfit for viewing by those under 15 years of age.

The networks stated that the video contained violence as well as illogical, supernatural themes deemed “contrary to science.”

The music clip focuses on a tragic death of a beloved, prompting her bereaved lover to recruit the help of a female shaman to perform an exorcism in a bid to bring back his girlfriend’s soul.

What made the clip more controversial was the fact that a famed exorcist did take part in the video, and an actual exorcism ritual was really filmed.

Meanwhile Jang’s agency is defending the singer’s decision, saying, “The song contains elements of traditional folklore and to keep it real, we decided to film a real exorcism,” said a representative from Jang’s agency.

The agency added that it will re-edit the video and appeal for a second case so that the video may be shown on TV.

JTBC’s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ continues to average over 1% ratings.

According to the data provided by AGB Nielsen media research on the 20th, the May 19th episode of ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ recorded a national average of 1.298%. Compared to the prior week it’s only a 0.073% drop.

u-kiss to comeback with a repackaged album in june

U-KISS recently held a public performance at an event in Colombia.

We met with U-KISS on the 18th, in the dressing room of KBS Music Bank, to chat with them about their experience. Their first response was "The passion from the fans was incredible!".

U-KISS was in Colombia on April 12 for the open music festival as the Korean representative. They graced the same stage as Shakira had. The group made a layover stop to America on their way to Colombia, they said, "Our schedule is extremely tight, so after the performance we had about a day to explore around Colombia", "Every time we walked around, there were people who recognised us from afar".

Climbing the mountains were certainly not easy. The group is still trying to accommodate the time difference to perform on music shows, they added, "The mountains were difficult [to climb], it hurt our head a bit", "But if we were to get another chance, we'd definitely go again".

U-KISS is currently promoting their 6th mini-album title track, "DORADORA". They are wrapping up their preparations for a repackaged album that is to be released in the first week of June and it will include a new track especially for their fans.

Solo singer Kim Hyunjoong has announced that he will invite about 32,000 fans to join him at an upcoming concert in Japan. The event, which is free to the public, will be a showcase for his second Japanese single “Heat.” Representatives from KeyEast stated in a press release that there will be two performances at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on July 15th.

The lucky fans will be randomly selected from the people who have purchased the limited edition of “Heat” and its original version, both set to be released on July 4th. Kim Hyunjoong will sing approximately ten songs including new songs from “Heat.” The upcoming release has also received some attention with the announcement of Hyunjoong’s collaboration with top Japanese artist B’z.

Kim Hyunjoong is currently in the midst of his fan meeting tour in Japan that began earlier this month. In the press release, KeyEast also commented that Hyunjoong successfully finished his concerts in both Singapore and Hong Kong, and is preparing for his next shows in Taiwan on May 18th and 19th.
