SNSD’s Sunny talked about her personal anecdote that she and Super Junior’s Sungmin were scolded for eating chicken at a practice room.

On the day of shooting the next episode of Invincible Youth 2, G6 members (SNSD’s Sunny and Hyoyeon, Miss A’s Suzy, KARA’s Kang Ji Young, Sistar’s Bora, and Jewelry’s Ye Won) invited their close friends and had a party in celebration of the first lettuce harvest after planting.

SNSD’s Sunny invited Super Junior’s Sungmin and he spared some time to come to the set of Invincible Youth 2 despite his busy schedule for Super Show 4. Sunny and Sungmin became friends while hosting a radio program together for a year and a half. They were so close that there was once a rumor that they were dating.

As Sungmin appeared as a friend of Sunny’s, G6 members gave a warm welcome to him. After all friends of G6 members’ arrived, they started a speed quiz game for the words that were only shared between the friends.

As word “chicken” came out, Sunny explained it as, “The one that we were scolded for eating at a practice room!” and Sungmin immediately answered, “Chicken!”

After the quiz, other members asked Sunny and Sungmin why they were scolded for eating chicken, and Sunny pleasantly answered, “Because it could be bad for our diet and health.” (Seohyun came into my mind after reading this lol)

Sunny and Sungmin’s friendship can be seen on May 19 at 4:55 p.m. on KBS 2TV’s Invincible Youth 2.

A picture of ZE:A‘s Kwanghee eating his breakfast at an airport has been getting a reaction from fans.

The staff of SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ recently shared a picture of the star, who was eating pizza as breakfast as he squat in the middle of an airport. Fans also noticed that Kwanghee did not seem to care about possible stares from strangers despite being an idol.

Apparently, before Kwanghee left to the tundra for filming, he told his manager that the food he craves the most is pizza. His manager then fulfilled his wish by providing him pizza for breakfast.

Fans commented, “Even his eating is done in variety show style,” “He’s going all the way to the tundra for filming,” and “It is so cute how he is just himself and not fake.”

After Kwanghee makes his third adventure into the jungle, he will start preparing for ZE:A’s comeback when he returns to South Korea in June.

lol My brothers and I did something like this once a few years ago. We ate McDonalds at the airport, on the floor, with a lot of people watching and snickering. It was embarrassing but we were hungry and there's no table available so we didn't give a f**k.

We love original posts. Who Whore it Better polls, tips on how to use your Kpop CD cases, and more. What makes original posts great is that bit of brevity where as a community we can have a laugh and a little fun.

That being said, the mods do not mind at all if you want to submit an original post that has a more serious tone. If you decide to go that route please keep the following in mind:

1) Omona is not your personal journal. Posts of a more academic or journalistic nature need to be impartial and informative.

2) If your post is serious, the mods will review it seriously. I'm talking grammar, syntax, sentence structure, all of it. Is there a thesis you are supporting and if so, are you sourcing your arguments/supporting articles correctly? We are not talking MLA compliance, just credit where credit is due. Make it clear who you are referencing to support your case.

Yes, in some ways a serious post is almost like a paper for class but original content is a representation of Omona. The mods are responsible for making sure we are showing all of our best charms when we approve these posts so please do not take it personally if the critique seems harsh.

If you have questions about these guidelines or would like feedback on an original post idea feel free to email the mods [omonamods@gmail.com] or message us.

The now-defunct Democratic Labor Party of South Korea, which was led by pro-North Korea activists of the 1980s and 90s, was confirmed to have followed directives from the ruling Workers` Party of North Korea. The labor party`s National Liberation faction, which followed North Korea`s "juche (self-reliance)" doctrine, took control of the labor party after its rival faction People`s Democracy bolted from the party because of the National Liberation faction`s pro-North leaning. Though the labor party was merged with two other minor opposition parties to create the United Progressive Party, those who followed Pyongyang¡¯s directives have formed the main faction of the progressive party.

The international liaison department of the Workers` Party of North Korea, which is now called "Bureau 225" and supervises operations against the South, gave directives to Ilshimhoe, a South Korean spy group for the North in which certain leading members of the labor party were involved, on who should be appointed candidates for the labor party`s leadership posts and how the supreme council should be formed. The result of the January 2006 in-house election of the party was in line with the North`s directives. Ordinary party members might not have been aware of the directives, but the labor party deserves criticism that it was a South Korean branch of the North Korean Workers Party. Right after the labor party was founded in January 2000, the communist country ordered its followers in the South to continue their struggle with the labor party at the center.
The Wangjaesan spy group case in August last year also involved the labor party )

Korean stores scrap large clothing as societal pressures leave average women with few choices

At an H&M branch in Myeong-dong, northern Seoul, Lee Jin-ja, 49, tapped her fingers nervously on the wall. Looking through a rack of pastel-colored spring tops, she asked her daughter, Kim Hyun-seon, 23, for some advice.

“Should I get the large size or the medium?” she asked, with her daughter replying that the large was “way too big” and made her look “fatter and older.”

Lee ended up at the cashier with the medium-sized blouse in-hand, Hyun-seon smiling approvingly.

“Even though my weight has mostly been the same, I’ve started to wear smaller sizes recently. My daughter and even my friends say that wearing larger, ajumma [a local term addressing middle-aged housewives] clothes makes you look older,” said Lee, who like many women her age is not the size of a fashion model and has a 29-inch waist.

“Actually, this is quite stressful for an ajumma like myself. Now it feels as though I have to start losing a lot of weight and do yoga or something.”

{2} Youngjae “Junior high student Youngjae, he begins to have a new dream”

[..] Youngjae’s dream of becoming a professional gamer when he was younger drastically changed when he went on a school trip in his second year of junior high.

“In my second year of junior high, our class went on a trip and I had the opportunity to stand on stage for the talent show. Then, I sang a song from SG Wannabe with my friends and our peers cheered for us lots. In hearing the claps from my peers, I felt really good. It made me think, “The stage is a nice place” (Laughs). Although we placed third, the cries for an encore were only for me.”

Video Research, a Japanese marketing research company, recently did a survey on the popularity of celebrities in Japan and KARA ranked 28th.

The survey included all celebrities who work in Japan. KARA is the only foreign star in the list among popular Japanese stars, including, Aoi Yu and Nagasawa Masami.

The ranking is well known as data on directing advertisements among advertising experts. KARA is currently working as a representative for Japanese companies in various fields, including, hairdye, food and beverages, medicine, and confectionery.

Japanese advertising experts say, "We like KARA members because each of them has different characteristics. And they try hard to speak accurate Japanese."

People responded: "KARA is so popular in Japan." "I can’t believe that KARA is more popular than Aoi Yu." "KARA is amazing." I didn’t know that KARA was so popular." "KARA proved that they are popular."

KARA will start holding their concert on May 16 in Tokyo and Saitama.

Foreigners commit one in 10 murders, a rise in the number of serious crimes committed by non-Koreans, according to a report Wednesday.

In a recent case last month, a Korean-Chinese man kidnapped, raped and murdered a woman then chopped the victim’s body into 280 pieces, in Suwon. This incident horrified the nation and even led to incidents of xenophobia.

The number of foreign residents here rose to 1.39 million last year from 1.06 million in 2007.

There are several factors behind the growing numbers of foreign residents. One is the shortage of labor for dirty, difficult and dangers (3D) jobs that has lead to more people from developing nations in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East, coming here to find work.

Numbers have also risen due to increased inter-racial marriages.

The percentage of serious crimes overall, such as murder, rape, arson and theft, committed by foreigners is 31 percent, with the figure for convicted Koreans at 21 percent. Out of the total number of murder cases in 2011, 1,298, foreigners accounted for 103 cases, or 8 percent.

The multi-cultural, multi-racial communities in which the immigrants live together tend to be exclusive in nature, becoming hideouts for illegal immigrants and criminals.

Guro-gu, Southwestern Seoul, an area heavily populated by foreigners, was been the number one district for crime from 2008 to 2010. Its yearly average is 782 cases, with an average of 2.14 daily cases in the district.

“We are contemplating measures to strengthen a crackdown on areas in which foreign residents are concentrated, such as the Itaewon or Guro,” said a police official.

Experts also stressed that preventative measures need to be taken.

60 percent of foreigners say Korean craze will cool down

“’Hallyu’ will cool down in four years.”

Six out of 10 foreigners believe the recent fad for Korean culture ― K-pop, movies and TV dramas and soap operas ― will decline over the next few years.

Sixty percent of 3,600 people in nine countries, including China, Japan, Thailand, the United States and France, are doubtful that hallyu, the Korean wave, will see lasting international success, according to a survey by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE).
