Choi Han Bit graces Korea with her acting abilities

Actress Choi Han-bit has entered the spotlight recently because of her stellar performance in the drama "Saving Mrs. Go Bong-sil," where she plays the role of a transgender who works at a bar in Itaewon.

Choi's role in the show, which airs on TV Chosun, mirrors her own life in many ways. She became a woman after having a sex change operation when she was 20.

"I was initially hesitant to accept the role of a character whose situation so closely parallels my own," she said. "But I changed my mind after meeting the director. Some of the scenes were surprisingly close to what I went through myself."

It’s a well known fact that IU‘s been a fan of Big Bang‘s Taeyang since… forever. Today must’ve been her lucky day, as the darling idol received a heartfelt hug from her favorite star right on stage!

Big Bang joined ‘Inkigayo‘ MCs IU, Nicole, and Hara to talk about their comeback. For their interview, the three girls chose to ask fan questions to create a memorable interview. One of those questions, sent by a fan named ‘A sunflower who only looks at Taeyang‘, asked, “White Day is coming up soon, who will Taeyang gift candy to?”

Coincidentally, IU was wearing a crown made out of tiny sunflowers, leading her fellow MCs to suspiciously ask, “Was that question really sent by a fan?”

IU denied their suspicion and told them to “be quiet”, hurrying Taeyang for a response. Taeyang chose action over words and pulled her into a cute hug that had all cameras and the envy of fans focused on her!

IU obviously couldn’t hide her expression of joy, while others erupted in laughter.

Pixie Lott Expresses Excitement over Big Bang's GD & T.O.P Collaboration

A few days ago we reported on Big Bang's GD & T.O.P's collaboration with British singer and songwriter Pixie Lott.

Pixie Lott reportedly heard about GD & T.O.P by watching their music video via Youtube and then asked YG Entertainment for a collaboration with them.

GD & T.O.P will be featured on Pixie Lott's track "Dancing on My Own" from the Japanese edition of her debut album "Young Foolish Happy." The song was written by Lott herself with Toby Gad and Marty.

The singer shared about her excitement regarding her collaboration on "Dancing on My Own" featuring Big Bang members on her Facebook earlier. She stated, "Hi Cats! I have a collaboration with GD & TOP on my debut album in Japan which is out on the 21st March! I cant wait for you all to hear it! The track is called 'Dancing On My Own' and I wrote it with Toby Gad and Marty. My album is called 'Young Foolish Happy' with bonus tracks and also includes my recent #1 UK single 'All About Tonight' which is being played now all over Japanese radio...so so excited for Japan and the rest of Asia to hear it! Love Pixie xoxo."

"Dancing on My Own" is track number 8 on Pixie Lott's album.

Meanwhile, the single featuring the Big Bang members will be released on March 21, as part of her album release.

M.I.B's Kangnam to make his acting debut in a new tvN sitcom

Ahead of their pending comeback, M.I.B's Kangnam will be making his acting debut in a new tvN sitcom. On March 11th, tvN's new family sitcom "21st Century Family" is set to have its first broadcast and will reveal Kangnam's first acting challenge.

Curiosity about this casting was amplified as Kangnam will be playing the role of a Japanese-Korean student from Tokyo University, further described as a "four dimensional character". Kangnam's role fits the plot which will be about a modern family composed of a middle aged marrying a younger wife. It will also feature situations related to the modern society and will feature the story about a middle aged man coping with the modern lifestyle of a younger woman. The sitcom will be headed by Song Changui and will start airing tomorrow at 11PM.

Kangnam also revealed his thoughts on the casting and promised that he will be trying his best to show a different side to his fans.

The member is the vocalist in rookie group M.I.B, who made their debut last year with the track "G.D.M". Recently, the group was also featured as the opening for will.i.am's DJ set in South Korea. They are reported to be preparing for their comeback in the music industry after confirming an album release in early April.

Jung Il Woo reveals his friendship with 2NE1′s Dara

Actor Jung Il Woo of MBC‘s ‘The Moon That Embraces the Sun‘ recently guested on Section TV‘s ‘Entertainment Report‘ and revealed his connection to 2NE1‘s Dara.

In his interview, he began talking about a particular friendship with a girl group member. In the past, he had actually had a kiss scene with 2NE1′s Dara in their drama, ‘The Return of Iljimae‘. He stated, “Recently, Dara texted me saying that she was having fun watching my drama. I told her thank you and asked her out for a meal some time.”

He also went ahead and left a video message for Eunjung, revealing that he was a fan of T-ara‘s latest hit, “Lovey Dovey“.

On the topic of his current drama, he talked about the psychological pain he had to endure playing the character of a deeply pained individual. Comparing himself to ‘Yangmyung’, he revealed, “I’m actually a lot like Yangmyung in real life in that I give everything I have to my girlfriend.”

He also went on to tell a funny story where he was unable to wash his face for 40 hours due to the strenuous drama filming, which eventually led to him developing acne.

The episode and the rest of his stories air on March 11th!

T-ara donates royalties from Japanese 'Roly Poly' to the victims of the Fukushima nuclear disaster

T-ara will be donating the entire proceeds of their Japanese single ‘Roly Poly’ to the victims Fukushima nuclear disaster.

T-ara’s agency Core Contents Media said in a statement, “Marking the one-year anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, T-ara’s thoughts are with the victims of the disaster. The girls would also like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for the love and support they’ve given all along and we’ve relayed the message to T-ara’s agency in Japan to donate the full proceeds from the single ‘Roly Poly’."

T-ara’s Japanese agency replied that they would make sure T-ara’s message is well conveyed.

T-ara has always been actively involved in charity works in Korea as well, the latest donating food, and clothing, and thousands of dollars to the elderly that live alone. With their latest donation to the victims of the Fukushima nuclear disaster victims, the reputation of the girls as idols with conscience has gotten only stronger.

Members of T-ara stated, “Our donation can’t make the damage the victims have suffered disappear, but we only hope that we can be of small help.”

KARA's Hara, one of the MCs for weekly music show SBS Inkigayo, personally apologized to B.A.P and their fans on Twitter today. On today's episode of Inkigayo, Hara unknowingly introduced B.A.P as a five member group instead of six.

After the live broadcast, Hara realized her mistake and went on to Twitter to apologize to the members and fans. She was further quoted saying, "B.A.P fans, B.A.P babys, sorry i made a mistake, rather than 6 members i said 5 members ㅠㅠ...I'll be more careful!!"

B.A.P made their debut in the music scene this year promoting the title track "Warrior" and later on promoted their follow up track "Secret Love". Coincidentally, today's broadcast was also B.A.P's goodbye stage as they performed the track with rookie singer Ailee.

GD to collaborate with Ludacris

A spokesperson stated, "G-Dragon's collaboration with Ludacris was finished at the end of last year. This work will most likely be in G-Dragon's new solo album that is planned to come out this summer and Ludacris will participate in the album by featuring in one of GD's songs. We hope many look forward to the results, as G-Dragon has worked with world-wide musicians".

Ludacris showed his interest in Big Bang when he came to Korea in September last year and accordingly had a collaboration with G-Dragon.
