T-ARA only sleeps 2 hours a day

T-ara members recently revealed how much they sleep in one day on a show in SBS. When asked how T-ara manages on their busy schedule with acting, singing and endorsements, the members said "We only get to sleep for 2 hours and 30 minutes since we are very busy" with their answer, the audience was shocked with how little they get to sleep everyday.

However, despite the lack of sleep, the member still has healthy skin and they were asked what their secret is on maintaining their flawless skin, they answered, "The Make up covers everything. We wear a lot of make up but we try our best to remove them when were resting" giving a joking and cheerful answer.

They know that having a busy schedule is part of being a girl group, though despite having only a short time to sleep, the members are still cheerful and does their best at all their schedules.

OP is not even a t-ara fan, but this news made my chest feel tight. no wonder the girls rant so often about being too tired to exist... maybe if they stopped filming a hundred videos for the same song, there would be more than enough time to rest! their agency should be investigated by authorities, I'm not even joking.

At the request of fans, T-ara has released their "Lovey Dovey in Tokyo" music video ahead of the regular release date! T-ara's latest #1 hit "Lovey Dovey" has been gaining popularity on both music and music video charts.

At 1:45AM KST Jan 18, T-ara's "Lovey Dovey in Tokyo" was released on GomTV. The music video reveals a more free-spirited side of the girl group and taking on the setting of a club in Tokyo, Japan.

Different scenes of the girls such as enjoying a meal, practicing their performance on stage and dancing freely in the club having fun are seen.

Japanese fortune telling website "Cocoloni" has picked U-Kiss' Kevin as the Korean Wave star with the most luck for 2012. One hundred fortune tellers came together to pick the luckiest celebrities for the year 2012. Predictions were based on a combination of the star's Western and Chinese zodiac signs, blood-type and others. In the "Korean Wave" category, U-Kiss's Kevin was chosen as the luckiest K-pop star of 2012.

Kevin posted a response on U-Kiss's Japanese site saying:

"First, I'm honored to be chosen at number one. I didn't know that such a ranking existed, so when I first heard the news, I was shocked. As I was chosen as the luckiest, I hope that this luck is reflected in my work this year. We members of U-Kiss are preparing to release an album here in Japan and plan to hold a nation-wide tour. After a year of ups and downs, the boys of Big Bang are readying to rock the music industry once again!

Just recently, YG Entertainment shared a promotional video for the highly anticipated ’2012 Big Bang – Big Show’ concert. The video has generated buzz not only in Korea, but all over the world thanks to Big Bang’s international fanbase.

The concert will be held at Olympic Park over a course of three days, from March 2nd to the 4th. Pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively through G-market starting January 31st.

Se7en makes his comeback in Japan with Taeyang’s help

With the help of fellow artist, Big Bang‘s Taeyang, Se7en made his comeback in Japan after 4 long years.

Collaborating with YG‘s star producer Teddy, Taeyang helped produce and write Se7en’s new single, ‘Somebody Else‘ – lending Se7en a hand for his recent come back.

Although Taeyang has been receiving recognition as a singer-songwriter ever since his solo album, he has never produced a song for another artist – making ‘Somebody Else’ the first song he has produced for someone else. Through this beautifully written R&B song, Taeyang brought out Se7en’s unique style.

YG Entertainment told StyleNews on January 19th, “Se7en is currently in Japan promoting for his new single. He will be handling a busy schedule of TV programs and interviews with magazines, and will also meet with Japanese fans.

‘Somebody Else’ has already been garnering much interest in Japan as it placed #1 on the Tower Records Pre-Sale Chart a day before its release.

JYJ's Documentary "The Day" to Play in South Korean Theaters

JYJ’s documentary “The Day” will be shown in South Korean theaters. C-Jes Entertainment stated on January 19 that “The Day” which shows the everyday lives of JYJ will be shown in 20 different CGV theaters on February 9. Originally “The Day” was supposed to be broadcast on TV however several problems occurred and now it is going to be shown through movie theaters.The reason that JYJ is showing such content through film is because they are currently undergoing problem with appearing on TV.

A representative stated, “This documentary lasts for 90 minutes and will show the normal lives of the three members. Fans will be able to meet JYJ’s story which contains their dreams, friendship, and happiness.”

JYJ stated, “We are both nervous and happy that we will be able to meet fans through the big screen. We hope that it will be a special memory for fans.”

JYJ will hold their concert in Chile on March 9 and Peru on March 11.

NU'EST REVEALS MEMBER PICS

Recently, rookie group NU’EST (formerly known as the ‘Pledis Boys‘) revealed the face of their leader,JR. Following up, the group has now unveiled two more members: Minhyun (18) and Aaron (19).

On January 19th, NU’EST’s agency Pledis Entertainment introduced Minhyun as a member with outstanding visuals.

“Because of his good looks and tall height, he is more than capable of taking on some modelling work. We will be sure to show the fans everything he is capable of, from singing to modelling and more,” remarked a Pledis representative.

Fans were also drawn to member Aaron, whose was revealed to have been cast immediately at the ‘PLEDIS USA Personal Auditions‘ after captivating judges with his unique vocals.

NU’EST will continue to introduce each member through individual profile pictures as they near their debut. The idol group will make their debut sometime in March.

Big Bang and JYJ, most wanted on TV for Lunar New Year holiday

An online lecture website conducted a survey on "Which boy bands are most wanted on TV during the Lunar New Year's holiday?". The survey had 1173 participants.

The survey results placed Big Bang at first place with 556 votes which was 48% of all the votes. JYJ came in second with 173 votes (15% of all the votes).

It was commented that, "It has been a long time since Big Bang appeared on TV. Even at the music awards ceremonies held at the end of the year, Big Bang did not make an appearance, because of some problems. Therefore, the fans are hoping to see the group at least during the Lunar New Year's day."

Also, for JYJ, it was said that, "Because it is only possible to see JYJ on commercials here and there and at their concerts, the fans' hope to see them on TV is growing."

Meanwhile, Big Bang is scheduled for their comeback in March, and JYJ is scheduled for their world tour concerts in Chile and Peru on March 9th and 11th.

Amazing choice people.

‘Dream High 2′ cast express the need for laws protecting minors in the industry

SISTAR‘s Hyorin and T-ara‘s Jiyeon who have been cast in the new ‘Dream High 2‘ drama expressed the need for special laws protecting minors in the entertainment industry.

At the ‘Dream High 2‘ press conference that was held at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul on January 17th, Jiyeon remarked, “In the drama, there are special laws protecting minors in the entertainment industry, and I wish those laws existed in reality.”

In the drama series, there are laws that protect under-age celebrities, making it illegal for minors to work more than 30 hours at a time, and those who are not enrolled in school are forbidden from even becoming a celebrity.

(2PM) Kim Junsu's father has passed away.

2PM's Junsu, ahead of Lunar New Year, sheds many tears.

According to JYP Entertainment on the 20th, the father of Junsu, who is a part of JYP Entertainment, passed away unexpectedly by a myocardial infarction (heart attack) on the 19th. He was 59 years old.

When his father suddenly fainted, Junsu was contacted and went to the hospital in Daegu but in the end he passed away.

Junsu has been crying all day at the funeral home in the Daegu hospital. The 2PM members and JYPE members near Junsu are by his side sympathizing.

There will be a funeral for the deceased on the 21st but the burial site has not been determined yet.

Jay Park Appears on Far East Movement "Jello" MV

The Far*East Movement has just released the full music video for their latest single, “JELLO” featuring Rye Rye!

Directed by Matt Alonzo (also behind the “Like a G6″ music video), “JELLO” stars Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman as they crash a political dinner event and transform it into a party instead.

The music video has been spiking attention for including cameos from Jay Park (2:45), I.aM.mE (2:19) and Steve Terada of Quest Crew, and also parodizes Oprah, Barack Obama, Tiger Woods. Viewers are also raving over the light-up kicks from the movie ‘Back to the Future‘ that DJ Virman is sporting about two and a half minutes in. To top it off, there’s a twist at the end with two of the characters that’ll have you doing a double take.

The Boss's Karam to be a pretty male princess in Japanese film

The entertainment news source Oricon reported on Friday that the DGNA Korean pop group member Karam will star in the live-action adaptation of Mayu Shinjo's Ai Ore! Love Me! (Ai o Utau yori Ore ni Oborero!) manga. This will be the performer's first starring role in a film.

Karam will play Akira Shiraishi, the male “princess” of an all-boys school, in the shōjo romance. The actress Ito Ōno will play Mizuki Sakurazaka, the female “prince” of her all-girls school and the lead guitarist in an all-girl rock band. In the manga's story, Akira wants to join Mizuki's band Blaue Rosen when the band's lead singer moves overseas, but first he has to overcome Mizuki's suspicious misgivings.( I'm pretty sure that's a dress he's wearing )

Winners + Performances from the 21st Seoul Music Awards

On January 19th, the 21st Seoul Music Awards was held. The event took place at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium. As well as announcing the winners, the awards also had a red carpet event and various performances. The red carpet event was attended by various actors including Park Shinhye, Lee Minho, and Yoon Shiyoon.

Performances of the night featured some of the top K-Pop artists of the year. Artists that performed at the awards included T-ara, Girls' Generation, SISTAR, IU, and BEAST.

The awards of the night included Daesang, Bongsang, Rookie Award, Popularity Award, Best Album, Digital Music Award, OST Award, and more. Super Junior took home the biggest award of the night, the Daesang, due to their popularity and successful promotions this year in not only Korea, but also in countries like Taiwan. Super Junior also showed that they were one of the leading groups of the Hallyu Wave.
