Pledis Changes After School's Balloon Color

Pledis decided to change After School's balloon color from "Metal Periwinkle" to "Yellow."

It is said that some ELF's are saying that Metal Periwinkle looks like Sapphire Blue and requested Pledis to change it. Some f(x) fans also requested to change After School's Color as it's the same as f(x)'s color.

With this Pledis tweeted After School's new balloon color before the start of Dream Concert 2011. Followed by U-ie and Jung Ah's Tweets Stating that Yellow is the new Ballon Color for Playgirlz(Boyz).

Japan gives Jang Geun Suk his own film festival to celebrate his horribad hair

Movies of singer and actor Jang Geun-seok who is being reformed as the new Hallyu star, can be seen all at once at a festival in Japan.

There will be a "Jang Geun-seok Fest" at Tokyo Cinemart from the 9th of July to the 5th of August.

Every week, movies like "The Happy Life" (2007), "Baby and I" (2008), and other movies such as "The Longest 24 Months" (2008), "Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do" (2008) and four others which have not been introduced locally yet, will be shown.

Previously, Jang Geun-seok released a debut single called, "Let Me Cry" on the 27th of April. This song ran the top of the Oricon Daily Charts and also the Weekly Chart. This is the first time a singer not Japanese, took over the charts with a debut single. Even amongst male solo's, this is the first time in 30 years after 1980 December Gondo Masahiko who debuted with "Sneaker Blues".

Japanese TBS is currently broadcasting KBS 2TV drama "Marry Me, Mary!". From July onwards drama "You're Beautiful" can be seen in the Japanese version.

Meanwhile, Jang Geun-seok has been touring 6 Asian cities. He will be performing in Bangkok, Malaysia, Taiwan and more. He is also currently filming the movie, "You Pet".

Girl group Girls' Day "diaper fashion" has become a controversial topic. On May 24th, a video of Girls' Day performing their current title track "Twinkle Twinkle" was uploaded on Youtube. In the video, Girls' Day can be seen wearing their stage costume and various topics across online bulletin boards have brought up the topic of "Girls' Day diaper fashion."

Netizens have been saying that this "diaper fashion" is inappropriate for minors. One netizen said, "What kind of event would you wear that kind of costume?"

Girls' Day's agency, DreamTea Entertainment responded to the "diaper fashion" debate and said that the "costumes are custom made with underpants sewed under the skirt." They continued to say, "We will modify the underpants and be careful in the future.

The current members of Girls' Day are Sojin, Jihae, Minah, Yura, and Hyeri, with Minah and Hyeri being the minors of the group as they were both born in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Yura is currently 20 years old and was born in 1992.

Big Bang’s Seungri Compares G-Dragon's Leadership to CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa’s

 During a recent recording of SBS’s “Night After Night,” Big Bang’s Seungri compared G-Dragon’s leadership to CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa’s, causing everyone on set to burst into laughter.

Seungri started, “Recently, Jung Yong Hwa and his bandmates were spotted at X Department Store.” He added, “I was curious to see how they shopped, so I followed them. The members were trying on various clothes one by one when I saw Jung Yong Hwa paying for them with his personal credit card.”

Once Jung Yong Hwa acknowledged the situation, Seungri amusingly responded, “GD, are you watching this? We’ve debuted six years ago, yet our leader has never bought clothes for his fellow members. I was touched to see how much Jung Yong Hwa cared for his bandmates.”

Big Bang's Daesung Involved in Car Accident, Motorcyclist Dead - most recent stories at the top

UPDATE: It's been revealed that Daesung was not under the influence of alcohol and is currently speaking to police about the accident. Reports have revealed that the man on the motorcycle was hit by a hit-and-run, not from Daesung himself. When a taxi driver stopped to assess the situation and help the motorcyclist, Daesung crashed into the taxi.

There are also conflicting reports that the taxi, once being hit by Daesung, crashed into the motorcyclist killing him. However, it is not clear whether or not this actually occurred and how serious the motorcyclists condition was after being hit by the original car.

Having succeeded as a movie, the musical "Temptation of Wolves" has completed its casting.

With a different attraction from first lead character Jung Taesung, ZE:A's Park Hyungsik and musical actor Kim Hyungmin has been casted as second lead character Ban Haewon. Alongside Ryeowook, Park Hyungsik is challenging his first musical through "Temptation of Wolves". He debuted with single album Nativity in 2010, and is now in the midst of promoting his first full album Lovability. In addition, he has received rave reviews for his walk from the fashion industry at Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2011 on 27 October 2010 for designer Kwak Hyunjoo. With a variety of talents, he will be proving his acting skills through this musical.

On May 29th, Kwanghee tweeted, “With Dongjun like angels. Fun weekend~!! Bye •~• ke” and uploaded a picture he took with his ‘angel’.

In the picture, the two are posing in bed together with a miniature angel sculpture in front of them. While Dongjun is showing off his chic charms, Kwanghee gathered big laughs by attempting to kiss Dongjun.

Yoseob hopes to break the ‘three second idol singers’ stereotype

After making a comeback with their first official album, “Fiction and Fact“, B2ST’s main vocalist Yoseob sat down for an interview with Sports Chosun to speak for the group on idols being stereotyped as ‘three-second singers’.

The stereotype first came about after idol groups began adding members that sang no more than three seconds’ worth of lines; the weight of the song was placed more firmly onto the main vocalist instead.

Addressing the stereotype, Yoseob said, “We want to break that stereotype. It’s not right for groups to put the weight of the song on one member alone, and we’ve reached a point where we’re now regarded as ‘three-second singers’.”

He continued, “Through this album, we hope to show that each of our members have live vocal talents. We practiced very hard and garnered more skills along the way, Dongwoon especially. In order to show our improvements, we made sure to distribute the parts evenly so that fans can hear each of our voices.”

When asked whether it was difficult for them to pull off “Fiction” live since the tone is higher than what male groups usually go for, he replied, “The only hard part was the initial recording process. We were busy preparing for our comeback and recorded about two songs a day. When we had to redo recordings or complete intros, we’d do three songs in a day. Compared to ‘Shock‘ and ‘Soom‘, I think this song fits us the best. It’s a lot easier to sing.”

Reporters asked, “Don’t you think it’s easier because you’ve improved?”, to which Yoseob humbly replied, “No, it’s not like that at all. I still have a long way to go.”

B1A4's Sandeul demonstrates his strong vocals

On May 27th, B1A4's main vocalist, Sandeul, appeared on the popular MBC radio "Shidong and Park Gyuri's Shimshimtapa". On the corner called "This is live generation", Sandeul sang the group's title track, "OK", and a solo cover of Park Hyo Shin's "Because I Am A Common Man".

On May 3rd, Sandeul also demonstrated his vocal abilities on "Starry Night - 7 Minute Invitation" and twice more on the same radio. In particular, the ballad that he chose to sing this time, Park Hyo Shin's "Because I Am A Common Man", gave off a different atmosphere compared to when Sandeul performs on stage. This attracted much attention and explosive responses from listeners due to his perfect live singing.

In response to the broadcast, netizens said, "Being able to sing like that proves that all the members are great!", "Sandeul's crazy live gave me goosebumps.", "Sandeul singing ballads shows off another side to his charms."

In addition, B1A4 appeared with comedian Lee Guk Joo and revealed their hidden talents. Rapper Baro received 5 pointed in the final showdown because he was able to accurately sing Big Bang's "Haru Haru" and stole first place. Coming in 2nd place, CNU obtained the opportunity to appear on "Shimshimtapa" again.

Boy Group "Twilight" To Debut

20star was a project of TGN Entertaiment who wished to debut a group consisting of 20 members. The group was supposed to debut in August last year, but the debut never happened as members started leaving the group and in the end the company was left with only 7 members.

The company initially went on to search to add more members, but it was revealed earlier this month that 20star was officially dissolved.

A-Run, Jaeyoon, Sangmin and Ryan, four ex-20star members, have now teamed up for a new group under the name Twilight. Another two ex-20star members, Hwan and Zeno, were added to the group last week. They were all born between '89 and '94, A-run being the oldest and Zeno being the maknae. It isn't clear whether their company will continue to add members, or if the group is sticking with six members.

Crisis deepens in scandal involving match-fixing with death of Chung

K-League President Chung Mong-gyu, second from right, bows his head in apology yesterday at a press conference regarding the recent match-fixing scandal involving professional football players at K-League headquarters in central Seoul.

The K-League match-fixing scandal escalated yesterday as Seoul United FC football player Chung Jong-kwan, 30, hanged himself in a hotel room in Apgujeong-dong, southern Seoul, unable to bear the guilt of being involved in the match-fixing scam.

According to police, Chung, was found dead at about 1:40 p.m., leaving behind a suicide note that said, “I’m sorry. I feel ashamed to have engaged in match-fixing.”

Jay Park, "I'm confident to make a debut in America within two years"

Jay Park's comeback as a solo and promotions were successful. His expulsion from 2PM and the related problems that made Korea noisy last year took away the light from this talented man. But the Jay Park that came back after a year was relatively calm.

He gained a passable mark in terms of quality for his trendy pop-style tracks of 'Take a Look Back' 'Take A Deeper Look' (the journalist made a mistake here..) and the title track, "Abandoned", won first place two weeks in a row right after comeback. But Jay Park's expression was not 100% satisfied.

"I was definitely concerned about it not appealing to the public. But I thought that this was a chance for me to do what I want and show that nothing else mattered as long as the music was good. I wrote the lyrics for all seven tracks and participated in the composing of six of the tracks. I participated in the album artwork and the music video with detail. I'm satisfied enough with the recognition of my coming back as a singer-songwriter, instead of an idol."

MBLAQ’s G.O. will be taking his first step as a solo artist with the release of his very own digital single!

On May 31st, a representative of J. Tune Camp revealed, “MBLAQ’s G.O. will be making a solo debut with a digital single comprised of songs that he has personally written and composed.”

Although he won’t be promoting the single on any music programs, fans can still support him by purchasing the song from online music sites. The album is special in that it he didn’t get any help from his mentor, Rain. Rain had given him musical freedom to create something with his own ideas.

G.O.’s solo track will be an R&B ballad. Although the title hasn’t been revealed yet, we’ll definitely have more info on it soon. Stay tuned for its release!

4minute shakes Kyunghee University

The strong force of 4Minute shook Kyung Hee University at their school festival on May 27th, bringing in a wave of young students to watch them perform their favorite songs of 4Minute. On a recent portal site, students have released photos of the girls and fancams of their live performances!

The girls wore outfits reminiscent to zebra patterns on a wide open stage and energetically presented themselves in front of their studious fans. As you can tell from the fan cams, the students are almost too excited to see them perform, and also gave them back energetic responses as well.
