Iris to be produced as a manhwa

KBS’s “blockbuster action spy drama” IRIS [아이리스] is scheduled to premiere in October, but even before it unveils itself to the public, it has confirmed that it is producing another iteration: a manhwa by well-known manhwa-ka Lee Hyun-sae.
The decision to publish the new manhwa comes after negotiations between the drama’s production company, Taewon Entertainment, and writer Lee’s agency, Creek & River. The manhwa version will be set in the same world as the television series, but will follow different plotlines unique to the manhwa. The details of publication are still being worked out.
As we’ve seen, there have been lots of manhwas adapted for the screen, but this is a new instance of the reverse in action. There is heightened curiosity as to the outcome, as it has the potential to spawn a new business model.
Lee Hyun-sae is the manhwa-ka who created, among other titles, Strike Love (which was turned into an MBC drama this year) and golf-themed Buddy (set for a drama adaptation later this year).
Iris (the drama version) has been heavily hyped for a while, even before it cast such names as Lee Byung-heon, Kim Tae-hee, Jung Jun-ho, Kim So-yeon, and TOP. I wonder whether the drama will be able to live up to its buzz. There’s an awfully high level of expectation for it, and it would be pretty sad if it flopped after all the work, money, and hype poured into the production. True, that’s the case for any drama, but Iris comes with a particularly hefty production budget and some heavy hitters attached. (Lee Byung-heon on TV again!)

GDragon replied, "It is true that there are disagreements between me and SeungRi. As compared to discord, it is more like everyone is bullying me. The rest really do not care much about me," causing laughter from those around.
Kush then added, "Those things we said earlier will be edited out." GDragon said, "It is not right that it all beeps~ and gets handled. I'll say what I want to say."

2AM’s sweet ballad singer, JoKwon and his mother came out on the show “Pufferfish,” where his mom exposed about his mess up during his childhood. ChangMin, another 2AM member, nominated JoKwon as something during this weeks episode of Star Golden Bell. Guesses anyone? (Hint: even I… even you guys would have nominated JoKwon as this too.)

This photo was taken right upon arrival at 6 in the morning? Around there..
The kids were a little noisy.. Individually parking their cars and then went into the resting area to chat ㅋㅋ
With these dressing and hairdo, hanging around at the resting area and thus, there were people with words over here and there..

Being a celebrity is a double-edged sword - though seemingly fun, always being in the limelight can be exhausting. The photos for Yamanohada promotion were taken in Paris. Lee Byung Hun had visited Paris sometime between IRIS shooting before he went to Hungary. He mentioned in his blog that the photo session by Karl Lagerfeld was a new experience and there were a lot to learn.
He also wrote that all the photos by Karl are different from any other previous ones. Photos change depends on the photographer but these are absolutely the Karl Lagerfeld style.

News have came that GDragon who recently released his first solo album has nearly 30K copies of the album in just 2 days into its release.
The album ‘Heartbreaker’ was released offline on 21st August and on 22nd August, it was recorded that over 27,742 copies of it were sold out, selling nearly 30K copies in just 2 days.
The album was revealed online on 18th August, and what follows is not only great interests for the album hits but also various accusations of plagiarisms. Also the MV to the title song of the album ‘Heartbreaker’, released on 18th August itself, has received over 1.5 million views on GomTV. The album is also currently up #1 on Hanteo weekly chart.
Meanwhile, the date for GDragon’s solo debut stage has been postponed from 23rd August on SBS Inkigayo due to the death of Korea’s ex-president Kim DaeJoong. YG Entertainment will reveal the date of his solo debut stage soon.

B2ST Documentary: Dance Introduction

Apparently the group's name is pronounced 'Beast' which would make more sense than 'Best' because 2 = 'ee' in Korean. The dance instructor AJ (not Ki Kwang) said that it MAY BE a five member boy band instead of six (but I doubt it). Also, notice at the end non-cut of the boys joking around and dancing to 2PM's Again & Again.

Idol group So Nyeo Shi Dae member YoonA revealed her liking for older guys.
She was on KBS ‘Shin DongYeop Shin BongSun Champagne’ aired on 22nd August when she was asked “Do you like younger or older guys” and she said, “For me, it’s the older guys” with a laugh.
And then she was asked again, “How many years older do you accept?” and she replied, “5 years older”.
Meanwhile on the show, YoonA was also asked about her height and weight and she replied, “I’m 50kg, at a rather unacceptable weight. And my height is 167cm”
Others on the show have given envious looks on that answer, Shin BongSun said, “This becomes the problem for guys. I’m 157cm and 57kg and I went to the hospital and they tell me mine is the standard weight."

Kim Hyun Joong on Family Outing!!!

It was reported that Seungri will be taking over Daesung for an upcoming episode of Family Outing. Well, things just got better after it was revealed that SS501's leader, Kim Hyun Joong will be the next Family Outing guest.
Kim Hyun Joong will be appearing as a guest family member and is currently in the midst of a 1N2D filming, from 24 - 25th August, in a village at Gangwon-do. Kim Hyun Joong had received lots of love as Yoon Ji Hoo earlier in the year in Boys Over Flowers, and is expected to receive plenty of attention from the Family Outing "sisters", Lee Hyori and Park Si Yeon. Jang Hyuk Jae PD expressed, "Please look forward to an interesting episode."
The state funeral broadcast of former S.Korean president, Kim Dae Jung this past Sunday had led to the cancellation of Family Outing on 23rd August. As such, the second part of Choi Soo Jung's Family Outing will be aired on 30th August instead. This will be followed by Shin Hyun Joon's Family Outing on 6 and 13th September. Kim Hyun Joong's Family Outing will thus air on 20 and 27th September.
