WonderGirls to return to Korea in June for CF filming

With SunMi’s sudden short return to Korea recently for personal matters, the WonderGirls will also be coming back to Korea with Park Jin Young beginning of June.

They will be back for CF filming, and once they are done with their CF filming, they will be heading back to America again.

JYP said on 27th, “They have a few schedules to run for in Korea next month. Even though nothing has been much decided, there are plans for them to return for a short while.”

SS501 Kim Hyung Joon is next in the team to take up drama acting after leader Kim Hyun Joong did.

Kim Hyung Joon has been casted as the main character for a Korean-Japanese project ‘Telecinema’. One of the staff said on 26th, “Kim Hyung Joon had finished the filming to the drama in secret by mid-April.”

It is said that Kim Hyung Joon will act as the rich young master character in the drama, with the appearance of Bae Seul Gi and Son Ho Young. He is the 2nd in the team to take up drama acting after Kim Hyun Joong in Boys Over Flowers. Member Park Jung Min has recently take up the musical acting.

Meanwhile, other artistes who had taken part in the this ‘Telecinema’ project are Dong Bang Shin Ki Hero JaeJoong, Han Hyo Joo, Ahn Jae Wook, Kang HyeJung, Big Bang TOP and SeungRi, Heo Yi Jae etc. The productions are set to air on SBS the later half of they year.

HwangBo for InStyle June issue

Singer HwangBo shows off her S-line under the May sunbath for June issue of fashion magazine InStyle.

She has revealed that she has been exercising and working out all this while to maintain her body. The photoshoot, with HwangBo donning various swimming costumes, took place in ChoongSoon KwangJing Goo W Hotel’s sky desk outdoor terrace.

When she was asked how she had managed her body, HwangBo said, “Although ur normal dietary management is important, exercise is also important to keep your body toned.”

After her digital single release in April, this is another chance for fans to see HwangBo.

Lee Jung Hyun admits to having a crush on Shinhwa’s Jun Jin

On the next upcoming episode of Ya Shim Man Man season 2, singer/actress Lee Jung Hyun admitted that, in the past, she had feelings for Shinhwa’s Jun Jin.

Jung Hyun stated that, after she and Jun Jin became friends, she misinterpreted Jun Jin’s immediate closeness with her as a sign that he was interested in being more than just friends. As a result, Jun Jin’s actions toward Jung Hyun caused her to develop feelings for him. Jung Hyun went on to say that the reason why she misread Jun Jin’s feelings was because, at the time, he was feeling glum and depressed and he would frequently call her for comfort, hence she felt that they had a special relationship. Jung Hyun also said that there was this one time where she was out drinking with her close friends and decided to give Jun Jin a call and invite him to join them. Jun Jin eagerly obliged and met up with Jung Hyun and her friends for drinks.

Jung Hyun soon realized where she and Jun Jin stood when he gave her an autographed CD with a message revealed how Jun Jin really felt about her. The other guests on YSMM were surprised by the manner in which Jun Jin divulged his true feelings when they heard Jung Hyun explain the impersonal and somewhat cold way he did it. Jun Jin responded by saying that one way or another he had to clear up the confusion that Jung Hyun had about their friendship. Jun Jin went on to give his side of the story but you’re going to have to watch the next episode of Ya Shim Man Man to find out what his version is.

This episode of Ya Shim Man Man was supposed to air on the 25th of May but, due to the sad and unfortunate death of President Roh, its broadcast date has been postponed to the 6th of June.

Leeteuk: You only think of your teachers on teacher’s day?

N Korea threatens military action

North Korea says it has abandoned the truce that ended the Korean war, amid rising tension in the region.


North Korea's military celebrated the controversial nuclear and missile tests

It blamed its decision on South Korea joining a US-led initiative to search ships for nuclear weapons.

It said the South's actions were a "declaration of war", and pledged to attack if its ships were stopped.

The move is part of an increasingly hard line being taken by North Korea, and comes two days after it conducted an underground nuclear test.

Meanwhile, South Korean news reports say that steam has been seen coming from a plant at the North's main nuclear facility, a sign that it has made good on its threat to restart efforts to make weapons-grade plutonium.

The United Nations Security Council is working on a strong resolution condemning North Korea's actions, including possible punitive measures.

Shinae wants a (very) private wedding

Actress Shinae (real name Jo Shinae) will have her quiet and private wedding on May 28 at 6pm in Gwangjangdong, Seoul Walkerhill Hotel. And this special event, she has decided not to have a press conference. This means no photo sessions of her guests either.

Earlier this year, she met with her husband-to-be, and after about 3 months dating, they decided to get married. The wedding will be held within a very special close-friends of hers only, as well as her family. A few weeks ago, on May 14, she posted on her cyworld, “I’m so happy… I love you.”

Shinae also mentioned that as the only daughter, her family is so happy to see her getting married. And she also mentioned that she’s happy to be able to relieve the burden of her parents (by getting married, is considered a filial duty as a daughter).
And she also explained how she plans to resume her entertainment activities afterwards.

After hits like ‘Don’t Love’ and ‘Like Being Hit’, Baek Ji Young’s new song ‘Love’s Not A Crime’ off the OST of drama ‘JaMyungGo’ shot up to the #1 position on Bugs Music chart in just one day into its released.

The song is the ending song for the drama aired on 18th May. The song is composed and written by Bang Shi Hyuk who also brought to us the song ‘Like Being Hit’ from Baek Ji Young’s 7th album.

The CF starring Kim Yuna shows her being just like any other ordinary girl enjoying her life at 20. The CF's concept was based around "My Diary at 20 years old" and sees Yuna in 6 different scenes like eating to her heart's content, singing aloud, bathing her dog, etc. The CF allowed Yuna to do the things that she would have loved doing at her age but couldn't because of her life as a figure skater.

Brown Eyed Girls to comeback in end-June

With hit songs like ‘L.O.V.E’, ‘What to do’ and ‘My Style’, the Brown Eyed Girls will make their comeback into the Kpop world.

Their company revealed that they will be back with a new album end-June, and the girls are currently working on the album. It is said that they have finished about 1/3 of the recording for the album, and they will be filming for their new MV in mid-June.

However, the title song to the album has yet to be decided. The company said there is a lot to consider like the atmosphere and trend of the Kpop world and the team. An official revealed that it may most probably be another dance song.

We are set to see the whole girl group thing going on this June – with 2NE1, debut of HyunA’s group 4Minute and T-ara altogether. We had the ‘Gee’ craze the beginning half of year 2009, we’ll see what is instored of us.

Group Shine’s leader Kelly attempts suicide

Shocking news came as Kelly (Kim Seung Hee), leader of 3-member female electronic band Shine, attempts suicide.

Kelly was discovered unconscious in her home at dawn of 27th May. She was said to have popped sleeping pills to attempt suicide. She was rushed to a hospital in Seoul and she is currently in intensive-care.

It was fortunate that she was alright, as an official reveals that she was known to have taken up to 40 sleeping pills, but was discovered in time to be saved.

Kelly‘ company said on 27th May, “Usually she would say things like it was tough and all. As the leader to team she has been worrying alot about the team especially since the team is undergoing a change in team members. And the pressure of performing overseas has been very great on her.”

Their company assures that this is not a Werthers effect after the death of former ex-president Roh.

Big Bang to return to Japan By This Week for Promo Activities

Big Bang will return to Japan by this week for their promo activities in Japan.

The promo activities will start concurrently upon the release of “My Heaven” single on June 24th as stated in the press conference held in Tokyo on May 13th.

Besides that, Big Bang will also be attending the MTV Video Music Awards Japan as one of celebrity guest held on May 30th at Japan Saitama Super Arena and will continue their stay in Japan afterwards.

Based on a phone conversation with Osen, a rep from the company stated that ”My Heaven” pv had been released in Japan and asking everyone to show interest and support for BigBang’s upcoming performances and activities there.

On June 24th, “My Heaven” will be released as a Digital Single simultaneously in 6 Asia countries like China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

Super Junior Selected as Kyochon Chicken's New Models

Korea's chicken franchise Kyochon F&B Company and HanRyu star Super Junior have signed modeling contract.

This time, the 12 Super Junior members who have signed the contract will model in all sorts of Kyochon advertisements and CFs in the future, as well as taking on the roles of being Kyochon's ambassadors.

In the past, Kyochon F&B had had world stars Rain, Shinhwa, Lee Junghyun and more as models, being the first in the chicken industry to only use big stars as models.

Kyochon F&B's person-in-charge reveals the reason being "Not only in Korea, but in China and overseas, Super Junior has gain popularity with a premium image of HanRyu stars. This fits the high profile image of Kyochon, who leads the chicken industry in Korea. Also, being HanRyu stars, they will be able to help greatly in promoting Kyochon internationally".

Thus, for the CF that will be broadcasted in July, Super Junior will start filming the CF and photoshoot next month.
