Seeya, Davichi and Ji Yeon perform "Woman Generation/Forever Love" from the Cinderalla Man soundtrack on MNet Countdown. I love the song tbh, it sounds so trottish and happy. You guys might want to lower down the volume cos there's SO MUCH belting out and yelling in the live version compared to their PV.

Life and Death in Queer Korea
Part 1: A Queer Exorcism
How religion and violence shadow lgbt Koreans.
By Huso Yi

(Huso Yi)
MARCH 7, 2003. I remember very clearly the first time my cell phone rang late at night on the Spring of 1995. I answered it and a male voice hissed in my ear, "Go burn in hell!" The next night, another anonymous phone voice spat, "I'm gonna kill you."
Almost every night for a year my cell phone was bombarded with hateful, threatening voices. I had done something terrible and dirty. I had become a public homosexual, co-founding Come Together, South Korea's first queer student activist group.

Just going to put it out there that hell this may not actually be authentic (I don't want to say anyone would write a letter to God pretending to be YunHo but you never know!), but I thought it was interesting. And creepy. How the hell do fans even get ahold of things like this? And I fail tags. What else would this go under...?

It’s inevitable.
In a group that has more members than a football team, there is bound to issues surrounding who gets the most singing time.
For Heechul, one of 13 members of Super Junior, that means 4 seconds. The boy kisser revealed on the KBS2TV program, “Happy Together Season 3″ (May 7th) that fans are complaining about his paltry part, but what do you expect when you are part of such a crowded group?
If he wants to sing a full song, why not just go solo?

Big Bang’s on the top of Vietnam
2009-05-08 01:01 pm
The five young boys have made it big in Vietnam after setting an incredible record of 12 consecutive weeks topping the weekly music chart of iTV, an interactive music channel where fans cote through SMS for their favorite songs to be aired. Big bang’s greatest hit Day by Day has topped the international chart for nearly 12 months, surpassing many other great songs by TVXQ, Wonder Girls, Super Junior, SNSD, SS501…Currently, three other songs by Big Bang: G-Dragon’s This love, A Fool’s only tears and Taeyang’s Prayer are in TOP 10. Some other hits such as Lies are Number 1 also used to be on TOP 5.
Big Bang hasn’t released any CDs and hasn’t visited this country yet but they are now everywhere in Vietnam. No schoolgirls don’t know Big Bang. Their stickers, posters and magazine pictures are all sold-out items. The five boys G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP, Daesung and Seungri are really the kings on their peak of popularity in Vietnam.

As a Vietnamese person myself, I hope these guys will visit Vietnam... in which case I'll beg my parents to jump on that plane and GO! GO! GO!

Lee Jia to act in new drama
2009-05-08 01:53 pm
Newish actress Lee Jia of Beethoven and Legend is taking on her third leading role in as many acting jobs with SBS’s upcoming drama series Style [스타일].
The drama is based on a novel of the same name, and has been called the Korean Devil Wears Prada. The bestselling book depicts the life of the main character (Lee’s role) who has worked at a fashion magazine for eight years, and deals with the power struggles, fierce competition, and romantic relationships that come with it.
Directing is PD Oh Jong-rok (Working Mom, Daisy, Hello My Teacher), while the writer is In Eun-ha of My Tutor Friend 2, Love & Marriage, and Goong.
Cast opposite Lee is Ryu Shi-won (meh); the Wedding actor will play a plastic surgeon and restaurant owner. I don’t hate Ryu, but his casting, coupled with an actress I’m generally on the fence about, means I have a hard time mustering excitement for the project. What is has going for it, though, is an existing world and audience, being an adaptation of a popular novel. Also, while I don’t think either Goong or Love & Marriage were brilliantly written dramas, they were series I watched till the end and enjoyed for the most part.
Style will air on weekends after the new series Beautiful Legacy ends in late July.

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong admitted on a MBC variety show "Quiz to Change the World" that he’s a lame duck when it comes to the ladies.
Kyu Jong stated that in his past relationships, his girlfriends always ended up dumping him and he could usually see the breakup coming from a mile away by the way his girlfriends behaved towards him before the demise of their relationships.
the rest of allkpop's lame commentary:
Kyu Jong went on to say that in the beginning, before officially becoming a couple, the girl would show a great deal of interest in him. However, during the course of the relationship, he wouldn’t have much to say and his sense of humor would pretty much be nonexistent. Consequently, due to his cold fish behavior, the girl would end the relationship leaving Kyu Jong with nothing but a box of tissues, a giant jar of vaseline, and memories of his lame personality.
Come on Kim Kyu Jong. That’s the oldest trick in the book. Kpop idols like Rain have been using that “poor me my past relationships sucked balls” routine for years. Even though the routine is played out, girls all over Korea will still fall for it, hence Kyu Jong will benefit in many ways from his poor me story. It doesn’t take a psychic to foresee that the girls that have sympathy for Kyu Jong will subserviently allow him to examine their throats with his Korean sausage in his doctor’s office commonly known as the alleyway behind the club.

Director Kwak Jae-yong urges viewers not to compare his Japanese movie “Cyborg She” to his previous production “My Sassy Girl.” But the latter comes to mind when watching “Cyborg She.” The robot-girlfriend in the film, played by Japanese star Haruka Ayase, is like an updated version of the “sassy girl,” who was played by Jun Ji-hyun. This bizarre character seems to have no limits when it comes to eccentricity.
Jirou, played by Keisuke Koide, resembles the innocent boy who was played by Cha Tae-hyun in “My Sassy Girl.” His naive behavior, silly facial expressions and the way he responds to the erratic behavior of his girlfriend mimic those of Cha’s character.
