BTS HITS BILLBOARD HOT 100 CHART WITH DNA

Following the news of BTS’s amazing success on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, their fans ARMY have trended “BTSHOT100” worldwide on Twitter!

It was announced on September 26 at around 2:30 a.m. KST that BTS’s title track “DNA” off their mini album “Love Yourself: Her” has made it on to Billboard’s Hot 100 chart at No. 85. It has been the group’s longtime dream and goal to enter the chart, and fans are celebrating the huge achievement on Twitter!

Shortly after the announcement, “BTSHOT100” rose to the top of worldwide trending topics, and it remains there as of 4:15 a.m. KST.

As previously reported, BTS achieves the first-ever top 10 for a K-pop act on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as Love Yourself: Her debuts at No. 7 (on the chart dated Oct. 7), earning 31,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 21, according to Nielsen Music.

The seven-member South Korean boy band adds to its haul this week, earning its first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart: "DNA," from the new album, debuts at No. 85, fueled by 5.3 million first-week U.S. streams and 14,000 downloads sold, the latter total also good for a No. 37 debut on the Digital Song Sales chart, where BTS also makes its first appearance. (The Hot 100 blends streaming, sales and radio airplay data.)

I love that comeback so fucking much. DNA was a little disconcerting at first (and by that I mean : during the very first minute after the MV was released), but it's such a grower and the choreo is so good and intense and all the b-sides are so fucking PERFECT!!!!???? I've had MIC drop on repeat every morning while going to work, and I'm still not over all the amazing lives of Go Go. I couln't be more happy tbh.

amazon hasn't been counted yet afaik so won't that impact their album sales for the 200 again? idk if that has anything to do with hot 100. i'm rlly billboard dumb.

sadly, i see them falling off the chart relatively fast lol. i didn't like this album as much as i liked their past albums, but i'm honestly rlly proud of them so i'm glad they're achieving success either way.

Congrats to BTS. I know I talk a lot of crap about them at times (constructive criticism lol) but I generally do like the group and hope they succeed. No body can say they don't work hard even if you don't stan them.
