Tablo steps down as HIGHRND CEO, will remain involved in the label

On July 18, YG Entertainment released a statement indicating Tablo’s resignation as the head of HIGHGRND as the company celebrates its 2nd anniversary. The resignation will not affect HIGHGRND and the artists under the label.

Although Tablo has officially stepped down as the representative of HIGHGRND, he plans to continue to mentor and support each artist under the label.

Tablo is currently working EPIK HIGH’s upcoming album and comeback, titled "We've Done Something Wonderful." The comeback is tentatively planned for the fall.

Hmmmm... this reads weird to me, but maybe he stepped down to work more on his own music?

That was my assumption. There aren't really many details atm but I'm guessing he's passing more of the administrative duties to someone else and just staying on in a more creative/mentoring capacity. Plus it's not like an idol company that has to churn out comebacks every quarter; it seems like the label mostly provides resources/exposure and a way to distribute their music and the artists just kind of put out whatever they want when they feel like it.

He's probably stepping back to focus on the music side - the administrative part of being CEO/head is time consuming. Glad to read that Epik High are working on a comeback!
My only concern is that Lee Hi can keep the arrangement that gave us Seoulite after all years of nothing, despite not being officially signed under them (unless it changed?). I liked Seoulite a lot less than First Love but it somehow felt more like her and I want her to be able to show her musical style. HIGHGRND was a good fit

Tablo is a blessing tbh even if he's not the ceo anymore I'm pretty sure he still will help everyone out just the same.
