ngl i remember when these guys debuted and im like, man will these guys last i feel these type of themes were debuting a lot back then and im like ehh but they really maintained momentum since then, it's super cool to see how big they got
yup, I was just thinking about this yesterday.. I would usually be right about nugus, but I did not see BTS scoring big and having a career that they have right now. Another boyband I thought would flop was Block B (even though I liked them at the time of their debut, I was preparing myself lol)
same, i quit k-pop the year bts debuted and saw their first mv because one of my friend recommended it to me, fast forward to 2016 and i couldn't even tell they were the same guys until i saw their debut mv again.
What's up with influx of channels doing random kpop (and almost only kpop) reaction? A lot of people who are obviously in it for the money, totally disinterested and dishonest... and the fans are still giving them views and requesting reactions. They are not even fun ://
I only like reactions if people have actual opinions about what they watch but I don't understand getting upset about some reaction channels vs others - "genuine" reaction or not - they are all profiting off of someone else's work.

personally i'm not big on react videos, i like video games' let's play sometimes but for reaction videos; i legit hate jre and the kenny (? is that his name?) guy, i just don't understand, they have the most fake and ott reactions but i like the reacttothek channel, i think it's pretty interesting sometimes.
That JRE dude showed up at the VIXX concert I was at and he almost got stampeded to death by the fans recognizing him. I don't understand his success lmao.
Same. I even wanted to pay $15 so see their separate videos on Patreon but the channel is already making almost $3000/month so pass. I can live without that.
If I think back to their debut and how I thought they were such absolute try hands I can't believe how much I grew to like them all as a group. I think they are really sincere all things considered. Not sure if they are able to go any further than this success wise (Kpop being what it is) but I salute their hard work and dedication.

I like the classical musicians react videos cause they get so excited when they like a song. They have great insight into the music itself and most of them have amazingly fine hearing. When Not Today came out, one of the girls flat out called it noise and I appreciated the honesty so much. It was the same girl who described the exact feeling of - I think it was Young Forever - without knowing any Korean
I love them too! I remember the first video I watched of them was their reaction to TVXQ's Something & Catch me. They were so pleasing to my soul, I enjoy those kinds of videos much more than these type of reaction vids.

As for reacting channels, I used to like JRE but ever since Taeyang noticed him he became so self-aware of what he's saying on camera that his reactions are now 10 times more boring and you can tell he googles stuff about an MV/group before so that he seems ~knowledgeable (latest example that comes to mind is his reaction to PSY's MV with the girl from APink). His skits are funny, or used to be. I have NO idea why people like Kenny. Salv & Fam has started to go south as well. I wanted to watch them for their dancing insight but now they're just wearing sunglasses indoors and yelling "YOOOO DID YOU SEE THAT MOVE??" and that's it, that's the whole reaction. ReacttotheK are funny and cute although they seem condescending sometimes but I mean they are classical musicians. MigoTV (iirc their name) are the cutest. They are a Korean boy and girl who are now mainly reacting to BTS vids (as it's they fav group) and they are definitely not doing it for the money or sake of views. I just love seeing their meltdowns. I also watch TheJessLyfe because when she's not feeling something she just says so and she's not trying to kiss ass but I am side-eyeing her for other stuff.

Yeah, JRE just became obnoxious. I used to like him but I noticed some things that were a no for me. The last one I truly liked was BoA's CAMO reaction. That one was a bit more genuine, as I felt the same way when I watched that video lol
MigoTV is adorable. I just found out about them recently. And I agree wholeheartedly with jre and Kenny and salv. I still watch some of K&S videos because I need to see a dancers perspective but man jre just got so annoying. I was slightly annoyed by him the first time I watched him but it has just increased tenfold.

Elders react is the superior. I liked seeing Nathan and Safiya though. They're great youtubers. The channels I usually watch reactions to are 2min because it's like fangirling out with your best friends, reacttothek, Afro Minx because she's absolutely lovely, and Fomo Daily grew on me.

I want to like start a kpop reaction channel for my dad bc he's so funny about kpop. The other day when I was driving him to a doctor's check up, I was blasting BTS in the car (bc OFC I would be) and my dad started bopping his head to Not Today and was like Ooooh, this is so nice! It makes me feel like I can jump off a roof and land on my feet like a cat!
I couldn't stop loling for several minutes. And he's also liked songs he's heard from EXO and SNSD.
