Date: 2017-06-12 09:43 pm (UTC)their friendship and sense of family is just honestly amazing and beautiful and gets me emotional too many times to count, which might seem ridiculous but it honestly doesn't feel like it to me anymore. they genuinely LOVE each other so much. a lot of their songs have been so relevant to periods of my life and having them making these songs and saying "we get it, i or we feel it too and we just gotta push through and hope it gets better" has meant the world to me. them personally sharing stories of their own anxiety, shortcomings, depression etc. has helped me and so many others and i honestly applaud them for it because how scary must that be to open yourself up like that to such a wide audience?
i've met so many great people and made good friends through our mutual adoration for these boys, and i continue to meet new people and for that i'm really grateful. i'm honestly so glad that i found these guys and i really do hope that i spend a lot more time with them. i would love to go through all the members and speak on them but this is already getting to long haha. happy 4 year anniversary to the family!!! 💕

what got me to stay into them though were their Bangtan Bombs. I literally have watched every single one and I don't regret it. I love groups where each distinct personality shines through and I love seeing a group that genuinely loves each other and play well with each other.

Some of their best things have been self-produced (as it always is, with this group, music or otherwise).
Rookie King brought us "Endplate King" where we got epic moments such as Jimin snapping chopsticks with his butt, every member except Jungkook and J-Hope crossdressing, J-hope making a fool out of himself on an elevator and the start of MYG, bowling king.
And then Bon freaking Voyage. Jhope losing his ticket and screaming so loudly when a stranger gives it to him, that Jin can hear him from half a mile away? (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/512003051369853831/) Jin, J-Hope and Jungkook together in the top bunk of their little cabin and getting soaked by rain when Jungkook doesn't listen to J-hope about the rain? Jungkook accidentally setting off the alarm in Ikea? The Jhope-is-a-flower-meme that go extended to later vlives? Tae going on his merry way, because he was fed up of the directors shunting him around and being alone? All of them being extra and losing literally all of their possessions all the time?
The gay hot-tub shenanigans? Puppy Jungkook? Bless. I love them. I can't believe we're getting season 2.

Their stupid skits where none of them can really properly act, but make up for it by being foolish and sassy? The sulking that comes from them all being over-competitive and stupidly so. All of them looking out for each other whenever somebody is getting too upset or too competitive over something. Jin ranting so much his face turns red. Everybody ganging up on Jungkook and still rarely winning against him. That random time they managed to coordinate teams by colour, and were really confused.
The time that Yoongi won as best dancer over Hoseok. The time that Tae got really mad about Hug Me not being on the song list that Namjoon offered to hug him instead. None of them ever being on tune, despite them being singers. Then singing and covering all sorts of songs on there, with very little success. Taehyung and Namjoon sticking stockings over their heads as punishment.
I could keep going. I love BTS-made shows. It's just so much more touching and heartfelt and really showcases their really dorky personalities in a comfortable setting, where half of them are not shy and weirded out by a new environment.

Date: 2017-06-12 11:20 pm (UTC)But I became a fan of BTS after I watched this vlive (http://www.vlive.tv/video/15694?channelCode=FE619) last year, it was totally random, I just found out about BTS after listening to WINGS so I looked up stuff about them, I didn't even know what Vlive was and it was the first video on the page so I decided to watch it without knowing anything and I just fell in love with Namjoon's way of speaking/talking. I loved how involved he sounded, about writing lyrics and talking about the members, and then Hoseok came in and interrupted him and it was just the most adorable thing ever??

Anyway, I'm thankful that BTS keeps me busy almost everyday, since my days are usually pretty empty, they make my days go by a little faster. I'm reallyyyy excited about what kind of music and what kind of story they'll tell in their next albums, being their fans has felt very fulfilling so far.

I'd be sore, tired, emotional, and just plain pathetic, and then I'd get the notice on my phone. I'd turn it on and watch their video and forget for a little while. BTS gave me something to forget the cancer and the chemo. I wish I could tell them personally how much they did for me.

My sister introduces me to Bangtan when she started stanning them just before Run. I wasn't interested because hell they're too young (I'm a veteran K-pop fan) and their style & songs weren't my cup of tea.
It's only on the beginning of this year when my sister wanted to attend one of the Wings tour legs (and need my company), I started to listen to them as well so I could at least jam at the concert.
The Young Forever performance at Epilogue concert got me sold. The lyrics hit me hard. When I attended the Wings Tour in my country, I was already a BTS stan.
Outside the music, I find that BTS dynamics as a group is beautiful. I love that they always want to share with fans (those bangtan bombs/episodes), even they want to share the joy when they were at the BBMA. I love that they seem to talk often about their group direction, what they want to achieve, and reminiscing what they have been through until they get to today's point.
I hope they continue to always grow together.

I know it sounds weird but I kept wondering why people didn't realize how good they were, and was confused why they weren't popular. Then it seems like they exploded overnight.
I really do wish all of their dreams come true. I believe they are really talented young men!
I will have to figure out how to put videos then I would link Rise of Bangtan the mirror dance, and then an interview they had done, that I recently went searching for and found. I enjoyed watching and wanted to see it again it has some cringe worthy things in it but it makes me smile. It was during N.O. and it was an I'M interview on Loen TV.

Now back to my story. While I've been familiar with them since We are Bulletproof, I just couldn't get into them bc of the try-hard hip-hop style and their ages..until in 2015 when I finally started seeing them in a new light after INU and Dope (thanks OP <3). Safe to say it's been a long time since I've been so invested in a group, but I don't regret it since they bring me so much joy and I can identify with their lyrics although we have a few years age difference. I just love them so much and watching them succeed is like watching my best friends or brothers succeed, sometimes they even make me wanna forget about the shit I'm going through and push myself to succeed.
Every single time I see one of their bombs or what they post on Vapp, they make me love them even more and want to be friends with them so badly. The only wish I have right now is seeing them live in a concert but since I live in Europe, better start saving money for Korea or other countries lol

I wasn't a big fan of theirs till they dropped BST last year but I used to casually jam to all their songs while I was stuck in my old awful job. I can't even tell you how much of a difference they made in my life, I still remember how during the last few months in my old job, I used to sit and watch compilation videos of funny shit they did to help me feel better.
My favourite song will always be Run, I know it's not very popular in the fandom but that song helped me deal with having a bully for a boss and get through everyday especially mornings when I didn't want to wake up. I can't even begin to tell you how much that song inspired me to change my job and begin anew.
One of the biggest reasons why I started liking them so much was because their music seems so raw and emotional, you can actually tell the kind of feeling that's been put in the song. I always feel happy or hyped listening to their music.
I hope you kids continue to grow from strength to strength and keep doing what you love <3
