Doesn't mean Slytherins are unable to be selfless, but seems more a conscious decision for them not instinct. I've always thought of Jimin as a Hufflepuff personally.

Date: 2017-06-04 08:13 pm (UTC)As for his caring.... this is one theory of mine, which is not at all substantiated, but one I come back to sometimes, is that Jimin arrived latest to the group, and the moment he arrived, was challenged by Jin to sing and perform and he didn't quite do very well. So he had to make himself invaluable to the group, beyond dancing (which Jhope also has) and singing (which jungkook also has), and one way to make sure they can't ever get rid of you, is to make yourself invaluable in a personal way. If you take care of the members so much, they'll never want to get rid of you. I don't think it was something he thought about necessarily, it was probably more of an instinct, but. It comes to me every now and then.

Date: 2017-06-04 08:48 pm (UTC)Fair points on the 95z vs. JHope bombs and the Run Ep 8, but I counter those with the recent Uno game they played. Yoongi kept drawing cards, and Jimin essentially kept giving Yoongi second chances until he lost. Now, Yoongi is the grandmaster of twisting game rules in his favor lol, so maybe it's not a fair comparison, but Jimin seemed to barely try. He wanted to win ~fair and square~.
That's an interesting theory and actually makes me kind of sad to think about :( because I think Jimin is invaluable even if he wasn't so overwhelmingly caring.
P.S. I love BTS x HP stuff lol.

this person did a really good job making infinite @ hogwarts fanart (excellent sorting and art) and i really want someone to do it for bangtan ... i mean i'm sure someone already has, but i haven't been able to venture into the bts tag for like a year now just cause its sooooo busy.

Date: 2017-06-05 02:09 am (UTC)I like the trend of hybrid houses that had been going around. I realized I took the pottermore test when it first came out and I was a total gryffindor but then after I aged and whatnot I could understand getting a Slytherin.
That's amazing fan art! I've seen like some gif edits where they place the boys in their houses but not any fan art. That would be cool to see.

And I'm not sure about Hobi and Jin. Hobi fits in Hufflepuff to me and Jin is a Hufflepuff or Griffindor to me.
I was sorted into Ravenclaw both times I did the test at Pottermore, but other tests have sorted me into Griffindor, which I never understood because I have nothing of Griffindor in me, lol.

I agree with the comments below that he plays his strengths and works towards being invaluable, also RM is spot on about his eyes. He has a lot of ambition and I think in the long run that will help his career.
Suga is very textbook Slytherin because of his personality. However, I think he's very analytical on the inside, based on how he was in school and his general street smartness, I think he'd be a Slytherin with slight Ravenclaw tendencies.
Jungkook always comes off as Ravenclaw because of him being able to master anything, but there's a streak in him which seems very Slytherin? I would sort him in Slytherin because I get the feeling that still waters run deep with him and we're only scratching the surface with what he's capable of. He'd fit right in because he's very ambitious and I think that would help him immensely.
Jin is very Gryffindor, he wears his heart on his sleeve and I feel with him he thinks more with his heart than his head.
RM is kind of the same way but I feel he would be better sorted in Ravenclaw. He's too brainy and I think his tendency to overthink things will make him a Ravenclaw.
J-hope seems like Hufflepuff or a Gryffindor- he's hardworking, loyal and supportive. I think he would be perfect for Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. He also is quite intelligent and is willing to learn, he's not called the golden hyung for no reason.
Now Taehyung kind of gives me both Ravenclaw and Slytherin vibes. I know a lot of people think he's very sweet and carefree and I agree to a certain extent but as a fellow Capricorn, Tae gives me major Slytherin vibes. He's very creative and I think when it comes to ambition, the whole world is his oyster. He's also not averse to cheating and getting ahead if it means he wins, from what we've seen in Bombs and variety. While he tends to dream, he's very hardworking and focused. So I think he will probably be a hat stall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
