Seeing shots of them in the audience while I was watching was so dang delightful. What a treat!

This is absolutely nothing against any of the other current generation groups, but I'm glad it was BTS who got this kind of breakthrough media attention over here. That 'underdog' energy, I guess. I've been so impressed with them as a group since debut... and how BigHit has managed them. Certainly not perfect, but they've done a hell of a lot of things right.

I feel like such an old lady, but I'm very, "Way to go, kids! Have a great time, gosh dangit!!!" about this whole thing. Heh.

Also i really have to give it up for Namjoon doing all those interviews. That must have been exhausting.

IA with your second point. I stan many groups but I'm just so happy it was bangtan tbh?? It's a weird feeling following them from pre-debut to their debut album where I remember people on omona complained that the cyphers/skits were fillers and who knew those cyphers would end up being a cult fave amongst fans. it's just so surreal to see a group that so many wanted to see fail actually succeed and spectacularly at that.

Are people really downplaying their success? gosh wtf. I've seen a few US attempts (from Boa's failed tries to PSY being taken as the biggest joke) and this is the most casual I've seen. Like everyone is super welcoming, chill and even serious about an Asian boy-group with 7 members getting this kind of award. I really wasn't expecting something like that to happen.

Bracing myself for their next comeback, it will be even bigger than Wings!

(Also and i need to let this out because me and my friend had this discussion last night and it got me emotional but the best thing about this is the Asian representation - from yhboys to Zhang liangying to bts (and any others ofc! Just to put things into perspective in case someone is attempting at making a round-up post or wtv:

People Magazine, Independent UK, Teen Vogue, CNN, Good Morning America, E! Entertainment, E! News, E! Online, BBC News, Apple Music, ABS-CBN News, iHeartRadio, Sony Music, ION360, Headline Planet, ETOnline, GIPHY, Vogue Magazine, Music Choice, Mashable, Billboard and more have tweeted about, written articles on or mentioned BTS, in addition to all the celebrities, producers, presenters and more who have snatched pictures with them, posted videos of them and overall congratulated them. And this is just the ~western media in the past 24h.

I'm telling you all, we will not be ready for their next comeback. The world will not be ready for their next comeback. I don't know how we are going to survive it. And most importantly, THEY ARE STILL SO HUMBLE ABOUT IT and happy and so amazed to be walking past Nicki Minaj on the way to the restroom.

I might have problems with armys sometimes. But one thing I do admire is that I-armys and K-army's seem to generally like each other and give credit to each other. It's sad to say that's pretty rare in a fandom.
