namjoon is so amazing translating for everyone. i love how all the members pointed to him in the questions who they'd want to be - must be really frustrating and honestly kind of boring to be interviewed in a language you don't understand. why not get a korean-american to interview and then sub the video? at least then all the members could participate.

Lame questions but they were all so cute. Them getting excited about their favorite songs was my favorite part. I'm happy that they're getting recognition in the states but aren't trying to debut here. We don't deserve that.

I don't think they need to debut here in order to be successful here. I can understand people like Eric nam and ailee debuting here as Americans. But I think bts is fine in Korea. They can still have concerts here, sell albums and top charts. It would be cool if they got an award here but that doesn't mean they have to promote here. I don't really think it's necessary for most Kpop groups unless again they are Korean American because I know how important it is for people who want to be famous in their own country and it would be nice to see more Asian Americans in America media.

Yeah I don't think we need them here anyway. We have a lot of talented artists that I support and I am all for our home grown artists to try and break into the market. I need more women of color to be big. I wouldn't mind a collab though. Those are hella cool.

The idea of debuting in the US is an idea that is a bit more vague than in Korea imo. Like you'll have a debut song/album etc, but I feel like k-pop is the first time I'd seen debuts work like they do in that way. Maybe it's me not paying attention, but debuts feel gradual as opposed to an identifiable moment.

Apparently Kehlani wants to collab with them so that could be cute, just working but not putting focus on the US as a main market for them is a good idea imo.
