Its like kpop videos keep getting prettier and prettier each freaking year. This video is fucking beautiful. The boys look amazing. I yelled at V when he walked on the tracks, boy is playing with his life. I liked the song, Its a different feel from them but I really liked it.
I won't even attempt to analyze it but there so many Snowpiercer references (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowpiercer) so I'm sure that along with Omelas is supposed to represent some very deep things about the state of their existence in the music video
Sorry boys but the song is not interesting.. Every scene with the snow landscape is very beautiful, the mv is beautiful Edit : I was laughing for every laundry scene, but it's an amazing job to made it tho
Has RapMon ever looked worse than in that opening shot of him? Those contacts are awful.
This MV is stunning. The colour palette, the angles for the shots, all gorgeous.I do wish there had been more of a storyline linking them together because my attention did wander sometimes around when Yoongi popped up on his clothes mountain. But overall one of their best stylistically.
The song is great, I love when BTS goes the semi-ballad route like with Young Forever.I was getting very pop punk stadium rockvibes with the instrumental and the vocals at the end.Overall it's a yes for me.
1. All the visuals are beautiful. 2. I'm going to have to read Omelas. 3. I couldn't really hear the song cause I'm on a plane, but what I heard sounds good. 4. OMG Namjoon in that whole first part 😍
Some of the shots were not only impressive, but beautiful. My mind is already working in overdrive trying to puzzle out any symbolism/deeper meanings. I'll be stalking these comments for everyone's theories!!
The song and lyrics are really nice too. Definitely going to be playing it a lot. I'm a little confused though cause I feel like not everyone got a part in the song?
Sometimes Jimin is so pretty it hurts. When he looks straight into the camera... ouch.
its not bad. I won't add it to my playlist but it's not bad. tbh I haven't been captured by a bts song since i need u. that should have been the song that blew up
Which one blew up? I only started listening to them a lot since bst, I've heard their previous singles like run inu fire and they didn't do anything for me
oh man i was not ready, still sleepy... it's so pretty. i actually got the concept of this video... it's in the lyrics. the movie Snowpiercer. its a good movie.
I really don't like the suicidal imagery in this... it's a gorgeous mv but I couldn't really focus on it after the first scene and the last one was also quite eerie. I'm feeling uneasy idk
The cinematography is really beautiful. I think it portrays the feeling of isolation very well. With all the references to Omelas and Snowpiercer, I think a common theme in both works is the marginalization of one group/person for the greater benefit of another group, so in combination with the album title, my interpretation is that this is actually an uplifting song to say you are not alone in your marginalization, although it may seem like a neverending train ride, there is the possibility of solidarity and inclusion.
Real question though, why is the lipsyncing always a little off in a lot of their mvs?
the cinematography is amazing. the song reminds me of day6, which isn't a bad thing because I like their music. It's just weird hearing it come from bts.
no offense, but V sounds pretty bad in this song..
I see people complaining about not everyone getting lines in the song but let's not forget how many lines Jin has in all of BTS' songs so yeah.
The MV looks absolutely gorgeous, it couldn't have been prettier. The shot in slo-mo with all of them looking all Backstreet Boys is my fave. (Can Jimin stop looking so beautiful? My heart...)
The song is basically what I needed from them after BST, it's something else and I'm glad they keep challenging new sounds <3
I don't speak Korean and didn't really listen to the subtitles and idk what Omelas is so I'm pretty sure I'm clueless here.
I did get the Snowpiercer references and that movie depicts a cultural/political revolution. BTS in other MVs and lyrics have always had this kinda anti-conformist and individuality message that runs a bit counter to the uniformity sometimes dominant in Korean society (from what I gather, not an expert on SK). Before they were simply not conforming, but now that they've had their coming of age (via Wings and HYYH), they're ready to ignite the revolution, be at the forefront of cultural change?
I wonder if it's fitting with SK being in the political turmoil it was during this winter, and now this is called "Spring Day", spring signalling renewal/ a fresh start, change. Thinking back to BST with a message of not just giving into temptation, but going your own way, exploring life for one's self even if it means giving up on following the expected and "perfect" path and making errors.
Now with Spring Day they want more to follow? They want to start a rebellion (or actually just, y'know, promote less uniformity, encourage their fan base to be bold, make mistakes, explore life?)
Idk I may be off my rocker, Kellyanne hasn't fed me my pills this morning yet.
