My first conscious memory of kpop was dancing to DJ Doc at the Hwang's Christmas party in 1997. I've seen and heard lots of things...hated some, liked some. Favs have come and gone. But Big Bang has been my only constant in all these years. And now my most favorite one is leaving. I really hope this is true, I want him to go in quietly. I couldn't handle if it was public, they always look so sad. I already feel so gutted inside. OP needs a drink and a hug.

T.T I'll miss his pesky and annoying presence on IG. Two years will surely fly though.

so keep an eye on his fansites, they'll be there for his events I'm sure

Date: 2017-02-07 04:10 pm (UTC)but they do get leave. every weekend i see guys in army gear walking around in the city with their girlfriends or family. i also have a friend who's doing his service now, but he works in an office & he basically has a normal life he just can't leave the city in case there's an emergency.

Date: 2017-02-07 06:15 pm (UTC)but it is more of a hiatus. i don't think they get very frequent vacations, but they do get occasional breaks. i'm no expert tbh. just anecdotal evidence from friends who have dated someone during their service or served. honestly i'd probs break up with someone, just cuz watching my friend deal with it was a lot. they do get vacations but that;s still 21 months when you're like, 20-22 ish and it would suck imo to be tied down to someone who isn't around. but to each their own i guess.

Stress on both sides since army life is rough and the other person is waiting for them to come back etc. Even regular ppl with time and money have a hard time dealing with LDRs so it makes sense

that's for the police unit, as for the active duty, it's harder to see them or have any updates unless Yunho had vacation or an official event where people allowed to attend, and he was spotted a few times at SM and SUM building during his break, also they do go out sometimes outside the camp to eat at nearby restaurants
these are the things I noticed from my experience in the fandom
