I'm kind of just watching for Ban Ryu and Soo Ho. The drama could've fleshed out the other Hwarangs more, but there's so much focus on the romance/love triangle that really isn't a triangle because Ah Ro has zero interest in the king.

Ah Ro started out really cute and interesting, with her erotic fanfiction telling lol, but she seems so helpless now and she cries a lot. Every episode, and sometimes all episode, like that one that was basically just her walking and crying and sitting and crying and standing and crying. Sun Woo nearly dies every episode and Hwarang training and performance events feel really dragged out. It's just all very repetitive.

Ah Ro is a perpetual damsel in distress. Like seriously if an arrow comes flying at you, you do not stand around looking for the next one.

I felt for poor Soo young. She looked so hopeful and Ban Ryu just kept on stepping. I mean she is rather out there thinking he's her man and he has yet to actually say a word to her, but still.

Jwi Di is so much more bearable when he isn't spending his whole time chasing after Ah Ro. Now that he is actually forced to face what will happen when everyone knows he is the king, his character arc got a whole lot more interesting. And of course he is still the prettiest thing to look at.

I am here for Pah Oh and Dan Se.

Okay, this show has JUST started getting interesting with all that's happened in these past two episodes. Main couple I still don't care about. But Ji Dwi and Sunwoo are much more interesting. The preview for next week means those episodes should be intense.

Ahro was the only character I liked in the beginning and I'm just now seeing a return with that spark of fire in her when the Princess got her all the way fucked up, lol. The actress who plays the Princess has such a lovely speaking voice.

Queen Ji need to find a hobby. I had a good laugh at Sooho picking her up. Her face was like 😶. Seriously though, she needs to get her life together and leave the Doctor alone. He has such contempt for her and it'll be unfortunate what happens when he finally snaps.

My favorite scenes this week was probably Pah Oh trying to convince Dan Se that he was indeed 22, and then in the horse stable

I'm not too interested because the plot is sooooo slow and soooo repetitive but for some reason I keep watching.

Only when Ji Dwi is away from Ah Ro do I find him interesting. And like goddamn she is such a shitty doctor lol. Every time she cries I just roll my eyes. She also loses her spunk when she's around Sun Woo. All in all, she's very poorly written.

I thought the princess would be interesting at first but I just don't think this kind of role suits the actress, the characterization is trying too hard to make her stoic and unemotional but I just have a problem connecting with her. She was one of the few things I liked about Moorim School but I think this is not within her acting range sadly

I also need Ban Ryu to say at least one flippin word to Soo Yeon, lol. I don't understand how she went from 0 to 80 with her feelings for him so quickly but yet I'm so here for this relationship. Maybe it's just bc she's so cute and I see a lot of growth potential in him bc of her

V should just keep acting cute, his overacting scenes with his bro made me cringe. I do like the bro tho, I've only seen him in Plus Nine Boys. I love his deadpan comedy

I feel like if this drama focused more on the training and friendships instead of the romance it would be exponentially better. I feel like I was cheated, watching those special episodes I thought we'd see so much of all the Hwarang boys. But literally they each get like 2 minutes of screen time

Some good moments

Episode 12 was so good, one of the best episodes for me.
