its funny cause this morning i woke up when vapp let out a notif that they were doing something (i really need to turn those notifs off tbh) - so i clicked it and saw them holding an award and was like okay cool they got something. then i went onto tumblr and the first thing i see is like a gif set of them accepting the album of the year award and i was like WAIT they won THAT???

i'm so proud and happy. after their speech at AAA i was thinking back to when i became a fan and felt a bit guilty - i thought they wouldn't make it far so i was prepared to just enjoy them while they lasted (mind you i was a fan after n.o which apparently no one remembers lol). i'm so so glad they proved me wrong honestly.

that being said i was laughing when they were just sitting there like "wait. that's our name. they just called us. we have to move." the whole time i was like jungkook stand UP you guys just won an award.

i wanted to reply to everyone (cause all this love for n.o era makes me happy) but saw alot of these messages like days later lol - but yes me too (re: all these people saying they loved n.o). i knew them casually since no more dream but n.o (and it's album) was what made me really a fan (the lyrical content in n.o - 'from seoul to the SKY' remains one of my favorite bangtan lyrics - along with gems like satoori rap and attack on bangtan).

It's because of the cutoff for the Melon Music Awards! MMA eligibility is from Oct 1 2015 - Sept 30 2016, and WINGS was released after on 10.10.16 so it's not eligible.

Re: Big Bang, even if they do come back, there's still a shot for AOTY; at MMA in 2015, they won ArOTY and SOTY, but not AOTY.

Their digitals have been really solid! Because Young Forever is a compilation, I'm pretty sure it includes the sales records of all the sales in the eligibility period, so it probably also includes all of HYYH Pt 2 sales (as that was released in late Nov 2015) and some of Pt 1 sales etc in addition to YF itself.

Fire performance was on point! I was really feeling the energy. I really enjoyed their black/red themed BST outfits too. I'm happy for them, because I know they wanted to win.

Also, I feel a lot less stupid, because on another site, I had assumed they won the award for WINGS, and a lot of people were like "uh they won for Young Forever, how could you not know that?". Now, seeing as even BTS thought they won for WINGS I feel less like a doofus haha.

I was out of the country visiting a friend when I got a message from my best friend saying they won AOTY and that they were all shocked and crying :') I cannot believe it :') I am so proud. So so proud. Precious Suga was ready to clap for someone else and he just froze with this hands in the air. What got to me was Taehyung or Jungkook saying in the Vlive that they thought it was a joke, that someone was playing a prank on them, a hidden camera sort of thing... These angels. We must protect them at all costs!
