The official music video of Psy’s 2013 single “Gentleman” on YouTube has been viewed more than 1 billion times.
According to Psy’s agency YG Entertainment, the number of hits crossed 1 billion on Saturday at midnight. “Gentleman” is the 38-year-old soloist’s second song that surpassed 1 billion hits, following “Gangnam Style,” the 2012 song that earned him worldwide fame. The news came about 11 months after the music video of “Gentleman” passed 900 million views in December 2015. The music video was picked as the most viewed in 2013. Meanwhile, Psy is gearing up for his year-end concert in Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on Dec. 23 and 24.
