'Kyuhyun & Song Mino to join "New Journey to the West 3"... 6 members total'

Kyuhyun of Super Junior and Song Mino of WINNER will join season 3 of tvN variety program "New Journey to the West".

On the 19th, an insider of the entertainment industry stated, Kyuhyun and Song Mino participated in the first meeting filming that took place today. They met Hodong, Lee Soogeun, Eun Jiwon, and Ahn Jaehyun for the first time and promised to do their best for "New Journey to the West 3".

"New Journey to the West" is a travel variety program where the cast travels around China. Season 1 consisted of Kang Hodong, Lee Soogeun, Eun Jiwon, and Lee Seungki. Ahn Jaehyun replaced Lee Seungki in season 2 as he left for mandatory military service. Season 3 with these 6 members will leave for China soon after their domestic filming on the 24th.

Kyuhyun's wit has been acknowledged through "Radio Star" and Song Mino is a star with various talents and charms. It looks as their addition will show positive results for "New Journey to the West 3".

since the 4 original members had to take up the roles of the protagonists in the actual journey to the west, what are the 2 new characters going to be? xuanzang's horse? nezha? nearly everyone who appeared in that novel was evil lmao

Should've just left it the way it was. The show really doesn't need more members. I mean what are they gonna do when Seung Gi is back from enlistment? Makes no sense to have that many in the cast.

Well, by the time Seung Gi comes back Kyuhyun will definitely have enlisted so at least there's that.

Is Na PD still in charge of this show? This casting comes as a surprise to me because Na PD's casting list is pretty exclusive.

I think so but Na PD probably like them like how he casted taec, i was bit surprised of kyuhun being casted bcos he's kinda boring from all the variety show he's been. Heechul probably fit better...
