Date: 2016-10-12 09:13 am (UTC)how tf did haesoo's servant girl get so easily persuaded to poison the king
how tf did 3rd prince survive that fall off that cliff????
why must 10th prince's wife die. why can't he die
the amount of wrist grabbing and dragging So does to haesoo makes me uncomfortable :///

Date: 2016-10-13 01:49 am (UTC)She seems the type to be easily manipulated. If not that, they probably said they would kill her... I think a better question is why didn't Haesoo suspect that it was Chaeryung who poisoned the king.
how tf did 3rd prince survive that fall off that cliff????
Like the user said above, after watching characters get hit by buses/cars and survive in Korean dramas, I've learned not to expect said character to die.

Date: 2016-10-12 12:04 pm (UTC)I still have love for it somehow, but it’s killing me. Honestly, I think it has a good storyline and both the romance and the game of thrones parts of the story sound great on paper. But they are driving me nuts, I am watching the show and rolling my eyes. My heart breaks for Kang Ha Neul and Lee Jun Ki. They deserved better. They are carrying this shit show.
I was hoping time skips would freshen up the show, give it a new pace, but they did nothing. Except totally downgrade SoSoo ship. Did they really carry out the whole romance premise of the show in one episode? Really? I feel like we are being cheated into liking this show – i.e. we are reading between the lines way more than we should.
The biggest WTF moment for me was that soap-opera zoom in when HaeSoo figured out that So was after Eun. I don’t remember seeing that in any kdrama, and I watched ton and loads. Idk I figured that was years behind us. Also, the BaekAh/SNSD girl love story… lmao I can’t. That scene where he is walking in the woods and she shows up (which was so poorly inserted out of nowhere in the international version), like who comes up with this stuff? HaeSoo not figuring out something was wrong with the King, after she was previously able to give him complete diagnosis after one glance? Furthermore, idk if anyone remembers but in the beginning it was being hinted that the sly prince had some kind of a relationship with the servant girl, but it never got anywhere. It’s so out of character for her to do something like this, put HaeSoo in danger. I wish we got some kind of an explanation or a hint or something.
I wonder if we will ever be able to get a good saeguk, high quality production (I know the industry is not big), top notch actors, great costumes, good writing, mind blowing twists etc. I am a sucker for history, and I really wish they would get this right just once!! That's all I'm asking for.

Date: 2016-10-12 01:22 pm (UTC)- The Princess' Man (Awesome actors, greatest chemistry between the leads, pretty costume, great writing et all except mind-blowing twist but the story is very angsty and super duper awesome).
- Yi San (Great story, actors, basically everything. You will love the King, his wives, his loyal officials, bodyguards and everything lol).
- Jumong (Magnificent story, acting & writing).
- Tree With Deep Roots (Basically one of the best kdramas ever written, great story about King Sejong and the creation of Hangul, love the King and everyone else).
- Six Flying Dragon (Complicated and layered script, lots of grey characters, great editing, awesome fight scenes et all)
- Queen Seondok (Great villain).
- Faith (Okay, some people didnt like it but I love it lol. Great twist, amusing villains and interesting ending).

Date: 2016-10-12 12:20 pm (UTC)And since this drama got financial help from China and preproduced, I thought it will have better production in term of props and extra actors but the drama pretty much only involved very few extras as servants, guards or armies that the palace looks kind of empty (even during the attempted coup). I'm rewatching Yi San at the moment and I'm basically very impressed with how many extras they put in the drama -- thats how they supposed to do here, this is a Palace we're talking about -- it supposed to fill with many servants and guards.

Date: 2016-10-12 12:27 pm (UTC)i'm still invested in the characters and am still quite enjoying it but damn it's become such a mess lmao
i wonder if they had more episodes the editing would have been better, because i feel that since the time jumps started happening it really became worse.
i won't miss the 10th prince but damn his death will be so sad since he basically has nothing to do with all of this. i'm even more sad for soon deok because she's an angel and eun never deserved her.
are they really gonna introduce jung as a love interest for soo at this stage? i hope it's just gonna remain as this puppy crush because we don't have time for love triangles anymore!
i'm excited that so is finally gonna go for the throne next week and i hope it'll be entertaining and satisfying *crosses fingers*

Date: 2016-10-12 01:05 pm (UTC)I also don't get how Hae soo didn't put things together when the king was poison if she knows she didn't do it..it had to be a servant girl. Haesoo frustrates me so much...
Based on next week's teaser, it looks like they are going to put an implied bed scene between SoSoo. If so, I know where they sre going with this. Since they only have like 5 episodes left and they still have quite a bit of ground to cover including a few years of So's reign as King

Date: 2016-10-12 02:56 pm (UTC)The editing still sucks, the time skips and scene changes are abrupt and sloppy.
I do enjoy that Soo and So are shown being friends and bonding as friends without it being one of those love at first sight or met when we were children love stories.
I don't care about Eun or Baekah's love stories. Eun has way too many scenes and he is a total idiot. Years have passed and his character is till useless. If your older brother is trying to kill you why come out of your hiding place, make noise, leave physical evidence of your presence and just generally act like a careless idiot. The only reason I care if he lives or dies is because it would hurt his wife and Soo. Also it makes no sense to me that his wife doesn't know where babies come from. I mean people back then were closer to nature with farms and animals and such. I'm sure she knows how mating works. Baekah and his pointless love line, she can't act and I don't care about their relationship. Why is this stuff taking screen time away from the actual plot.
Why the fuck is Wook still claming he is doing this for Soo, why did his mother assume/ask if he was doing this for Soo when Yeonhwa has been pushing him to claim the throne this whole time.

Someone over at koala i think, said that what they liked about So/Soo friendship was that it was genuine and not just a cover for attraction like most kdramas where couples are 'friends first'. I think Lee Jun Ki and IU did a good job of getting that across w their chemistry.
Also agreed on Eun being a sloppy fool w those towel toys, and Baekah's love interest being pointless.

Date: 2016-10-12 03:01 pm (UTC)They are being a little too obvious with the fact that Wook has gone to the dark side, now he is even wearing all black when he used to wear brighter colors. Kang Hanuel's acting is still amazing, he even looks/seems older and more weary this week.
So is still an interesting and complex character.

Date: 2016-10-12 04:04 pm (UTC)what happened to baek ha and the snsd girl cause their reunion just came out of nowhere like where were they? (ngl i was hoping she would disappear cause I find her character irrelevant)
won really has creep written all over him but for some reason he also reminds me of GOT7’s jinyoung lol. i get that his stupid ass would want to support yo but what’s in it for him? i mean does he really think that yo isn’t going to kill his ass when he doesn’t need him anymore? also the way he was acting towards chae ryung was just weird, like do they have any history together?
speaking of chae ryung I was so happy to see her again but her and won confused me. like was it cha ryung who poisoned the king’s bath water and did she know? cause that part (among others lol) just left me confused. also why doesn’t soo ask her anything about it when she knows that the two of them were the only ones around the king. i would be side eyeing her from the moment i heard about the poisoning cause if it ain’t me it has to be you…
ugh king moo. poor king moo. my heart was breaking when the king wanted to send his child off to marry some grown man. he was losing his mind and getting all paranoid. i was glad so stepped up cause that child needed someone to protect her. even though it’s gross and painful to know that that little girl had to marry her grown ass uncle, in this case it meant her being safe so i felt sort of relieved that so did it. but daaaamn when they showed that scene of so’s crazy ass past!!! HIS MOTHER TRIED TO KILL HER LITTLE SON BY TYING HIM UP AND LETTING GROWN ASS MEN SHOOT! i already disliked her but this just made me hate her. pff i knew the king had to die but not like that. i felt really sad actually cause even though you hardly saw the kingi grew fond of him cause he was so nice. and then when ji mong saw his dead body and started telling him to open his eyes I just couldn’t take it anymore. he really loves these boys ( or at least some of them) as if they were his own.
i wished they would have shown us this dramatic comeback of yo (AND NOT IN THEM DAMN PREVIEWS) at least then the whole coup (which was also lame) could’ve been much more spectacular. by the way what kind of armors are these guards wearing that yo could just shoot an arrow though that man’s armor lol? also lol at mama yoo for thinking she’d have any type of power now that yo is king. you raised him to be this power hungry prince who had to go after the throne so that’s all he (thought) ever wanted and now that he has it he’s definitely not going to let anyone including his mother tell him what to do. i also knew that he was going to do something to yeon hwa after she basically refused to marry him before he was king. girl didn’t think this through, but still I want her to kill yo haha. and I know yo is supposed to be the scary one but wook is becoming scarier and scarier as time passes by. the way he talks and looks at people gives me the creeps.
i was happy how hae soo told so off about kissing her without her consent. I was like yaaas girl tell him!! but hae soo needs to chill with these sharp objects cause one of these days she’ll kill herself. or she’ll get killed since everyone is always after her for something she didn’t do. i’m really wondering if and how she will go back to the future. also all these princes and their thirst for hae soo. like where did jung’s crush even come from? is that why he didn’t’ want to support so as the next king or is he just stupid?
again i know I’m the only one but i was happy that eun and his wife finally had their moment cause girl deserved it and it was cute. i just find it sad that she has to die too!! but what I do wonder is: who actually kills eun? Cause in soo’s visions you see that he already has an arrow in his chest and then so finishes it off… I’ll just have to wait till next week I guess.
All them little kids were too cute!!

Date: 2016-10-13 01:09 am (UTC)One thing i couldn't help but think: the writers are making Yeonhwa the worst, she is shitty as hell, but historically she is going to marry So....... I mean, historically she gets a "happy ending", but she is a villain, so.... Are they going to change history or is a villain getting a happy ending while Haesoo will - probably - suffer and die???? I mean....................................

Date: 2016-10-14 04:28 am (UTC)Doesn't Haesoo wanna try ONE more time with the water? They done beat the girl countless times, she got bullied by 13043 different groups of people, they made cut her wrist, they fucked up her knee, tried to frame her 150 times, now treating her like human bait. The man who said he wanted to marry her, turned out to be even more of a piece of shit, and lied to her without batting an eyelash. And thinks he could still have her. Oh, and let's not forget Man In The Iron Mask who can't stop clutching at her like she's bunch of pearls. Sis, WHO WANTS THIS LIFE? It's been three years, you haven't had enough?
That aside, the scene with Ji Mong and King Moo was incredibly touching. Their relationship was closer than I perceived it to be, and that must have been hard for Ji Mong since he was aware it would happen. Maybe it's just me, but I never realized how much Hong Jonghyun reminds me of TOP. His character is the reason for all my rage (and Wook, too). Every time he gets away with something, I get the urge to shove his nose up into brain.
