I liked the sincerity and realness of this show.
Right off the bat, you have Taehyun presenting himself to the class and inevitably tearing up once he confesses his real sentiments and state of mind after his acting controversy. That moment was so touching because you could feel his regret, how he blames himself (though the "controversial acting" is not even 5min long in the drama) and you could see how online hate comments really do affect an artist emotional stability.
i also like how Teacher Shinyang pushes them to their limits in order to reveal their true intentions and goals

I thought I'd just dip in and watch 5 minutes to get a gist of the show, but I ended up watching the whole thing. It was surprisingly interesting. And I recognize the actor from I Hear Your Voice, so I had someone other than Taehyun that I recognized. I like that the teacher didn't accept BS and that he was equally scathing, thorough, and caring. Very interesting guy.

same thing happened to me. i watched the 1st episode because of Taehyun but then what i found interesting was the teacher Park Shinyang. His genuine intentions is what makes this whole learning experience worthwhile, because he actually cares.

I've only watched the 1st ep so im not really in a position to tell you whether it becomes bad or good in futuere episodes.
However, i really enjoyed this 1st episode. I guess it will depend on what you like in variety shows. This one is a lot more serious and real than other shows. It also looks like the only scripted parts are the missions of the day and then everything else is the students reacting to the missions and to the teacher in a way that seems so far very sincere. And when its not real reaction the teacher calls them out for it.

About the question whether you can be good at acting through practice, you actually can. Jang Hyuk used to be bad at acting but now he's like one of the best actors I have ever seen. I wonder how Taehyun will improve after this class.

He seemed to be truly affected by the bad comments, then it reminds me the likes of Jin Seyeon who keeps getting bad reviews everytime she's in new dramas/movies but she still managed to score gig in good production year after year. >.> It seriously made me confuse tbh

i'm enjoying the hell out of this. it's kind of a refreshing variety show tbh...very earnest and full of these really poignant moments idk.

i'd love to see one with actresses too!
