I feel like he should've advanced, the color of his voice is so much more interesting and he did all he could with the song. Radio guy was screaming his lungs out and I'm not a huge fan of that, but anyways.
Really proud of Jungkook, he did great considering how nervous he was and both the first and second round he moved me to tears.
(Also that judge being like, no way he's an idol he's got too many emotions~ lol)

Last week was already excellent and I kept watching it whenever I had some time, but today's performance was way beyond my expectations (also I'm super biased lol). Everything after 3:10 gave me actual goosebumps. The emotions ;_; He sometimes tends to mumble his words but he was so clear here and he's got such control on his voice. I'm in love.
Golden maknae indeed, good at everything that's for sure, but singing is definitely his main asset imo.

And on a side note, It's adorable how comfortable he was with the mask on, goofing around on demand or just because he felt like it. Get that spotlight my bae.

I agree. He has so much potential compared to the other boys, but doesn't seem to be interested in using it. If only he put some effort in trying to improve his vocal abilities, we'd have a very nice vocalist here. Such a waste of potential.

Well in comparison to the other boys... but it might be that I haven't been paying much attention to him tbh, I usually focus on Jungkook and Jimin as far as vocals go. (I mean I love Taehyung's voice it's NICE, but I've never thought about the potential in it that much I guess? He's underused.)

His performances moved me: he is such a good singer. I also feel he should have advanced, I don't know if his technique or w/e was lacking but his voice held more emotion and color to me than the voice of his rival.

Either way, I'm glad the judges acknowledged him, I hope he continues on being successful. As much as I would like other BTS members to compete, lbr Jungkook is the strongest singer they have.  I could maybe see V or Jimin but they probably wouldn't get far.

they've definitely improved, but none of them are power vocals, most idol groups have at least one power vocals, so that's why bts seem lacking in comparison

This show seems to bias more toward power vocals so I am so proud of how far Jungkook was able to go with his smooth vocals. Vocal technique or not, Jungkook's tone is so unique and mesmerizing. It just lulls you in and (like one of the judges said last week) traps you.

He's been getting so much shit about his vocals and line distribution so in your face haters!

Listening to his old covers and then listening to this, I am beyond impressed at how much he's improved. The control he's developed is phenomenal. The difference between his cover of "Lost Stars" and this is so mind blowing and inspiring. It just makes you melt. I love "if you" and his cover made me love it even more; he's such a BB fanboy through and through.

I enjoyed his performance and thought he did a great job. I think his song choice was a little poor, though. Jungkook is hardly a ~power vocalist, but he could have chosen a song that showcased more falsetto and agility or something even more smooth to show off his vocal style.

tbh I didn't expect him to win. I'm mostly happy he did this show and got a little national recognition. I loved the judge who refused to believe he was an idol because of his emotional technique though, lmao.

i wonder what his song choice would have been for the 3rd round if he had been voted through. for 1st and 2nd he definitely went with songs he was extremely familiar and comfortable with (and idk how much time he had to practice), which was probably the best strategy.

Hmm, y'all hyped this up for me too much, I was expecting to be blown away.He's got a really nice tone but he still has a lot of issues with how he sings and his voice is nowhere near as good as it could be.
Sometimes I wish BTS's vocal line could be sent to a training bootcamp with Iris Stevenson so they could improve.So much misused potential
