This killed me and then brought me back to life. Really though, the way Jimin moves... I can't keep my eyes off him, might be bias but really, how is he THAT good?
jikook's body control is amazing, i'm really impressed that they were able to learn and execute this dance so well. i'm sure the dim lights were an attempt to ~*~set the mood~*~, but honestly i'd rather see their faces while they're dancing lol
Maaaan get it get it get it! They were doing that! I hope they don't get flack for the songchoice. Normally they don't, but the end kept repeating that chorus over and over so I'm afraid a k-net will notice and make a stink about it. Hopefully not though.
And this was a great video to confirm my thoughts on kookie and jimin. Kookie was so clean when he dances. he focuses on technique and executing the move. He's great at showing aggression for power moves, but otherwise, he's weak at emoting with his dances. Jimin on the other hand can tend to forget his steps, but he feels th emusic so much more. I watched the video three times.
The first time I watched them both and it felt a little disjointed, even though, technically, they were doing the same dance. Then I watched Jungkook and gave my nod of approval, because he got the moves down and it was nice. But then I watched Jimin and I was like "Aaay aaay ayyyyyyyy! Get it!" Jimin was adding his own flare to the moves, while Kookie did the moves clean. I don't know the proper terminology, but it was like Jimin's ease out or his transitions were smoother, and matched the rhythm of the music.
Rather than going from point A to point B to point C, Jimin was going to point 1 to point 1.5 to point 2. And just those small moments of extra flare made all the difference. I would've loved to have seen J-hope tackle this dance too. I feel like he would've been a balance between the two, because he is very technical, but he also knows how to feel the music at all the right parts.
In any case, I enjoyed this alot. Especially their twerk breakdown silliness. XD Thanks OP
Edit: The choreographer gave them a shout out on twitter!
Jung Kook and Jimin killed my 'Own It' piece. Great job fellas! https://t.co/hcY2zTRgIT (https://t.co/hcY2zTRgIT)

great comments! I agree Jimin is definitely the better dancer emotionally but I love JK's clean moves. He has a certain grace to his dance moves and it's just so mesmerizing to watch
I love watching dance line do things like this. It makes me miss hope on the street. From watching these two dance I have to see J-hope dance to it next just to see him put his spin on it.
wow i need more of jikook covering dances liiike my mouth was wiiide open the whole time. plus jungkook's white collar shirt and the way the light shone thru it so i could see the silhouette of his body *-* gtgtgtg
I like how it's two members with pretty different ways of movement dancing it side-by-side. Jungkook is precise and sharp and Jimin has more groove and is flowier -- he puts more personality and attitude into his dancing. I wish Taehyung was dancing it too bc I think the way he dances is a good halfway point or mix of these two movement styles.
