I do not agree that AOA should get as much hate as they did but like Alice (I think it was Alice) said it's not an excuse.
The netizens are taking this OTT and they're clearly targeting AOA's because they're currently popular but it really is a shame that they didn't know.
However, by now they probably know, they apologized, bygones should be bygones

The bigger issue is that idols in general have to meet higher standard (this applies to their drinking, dating, breathing...) and that is a problem


The West =/= The US
And btw the US got involved for economical and political reasons (Pearl Harbor was but an excuse to justify their intervention - same for Hiroshima & Nagasaki). And in the rest of the West, especially in Europe where WWII happened it's still a big deal.
I get that the US wasn't as affected because it wasn't on their soil but let's not say that "The West" doesn't care cause that's fucking disrespectful

I will 100 percent admit to the fault in what I said cause I'm pretty sure it was I who said the west thing. I did in fact mean the US and I do apologize for messing that up.

Goodnight & Goodluck was basically the symbol of the conflict between Edward R. Murrow and McCarthy during McCarthy's witch hunt against the communist
So maybe I'm reading too much into it but I thought it was a nice touch (for both the song and netizen witch hunt against the girls)

You Can't really compare western people not knowing their history to Korean knowing their history. To korean people it's important, extremely important to know their history . Not saying that they should be getting shit on because they should not, but on one of the korean shows they had a bunch of idols on and they were learning more about their history. Most idols go to school even when they are idols. It's just they might go to a performance art school.

Kangin is a fool, is a fool, is a fool. The fact that this isn't even his first time doing something like this is wild. The fans are mad as fuck because this is not his first time fuck up. That's why his ass was gone for three years. It's disrespectful to his group, to his family and his fans. I know it is not that fucking hard to get a cab in SK. He is so fucking lucky that he didn't kill someone. A real fan is able to call out their fave when they fuck up.

Also the person that gave Yunho the drink filled glue(I think cement glue) wasn't a fan, she was actually an anti. And she still hates him. I remember seeing something about how she still goes to TVXQ forms and talks shit.

I guess maybe it's because US history is important to me that I'm disappointed when people don't know more about it? You make a fair point and I would say if def seems like everyone but the US cares more about history (which is reasonable since the US has like 15 years of history by comparison, and half of that is racist history.

I think the Disney and Nick thing was just about childhood celebrities in/around that kind of genre. You're right though, but I think all child stars are just lumped into the "Disney" idea if/when they get wild.

The point with the glue and the fan (anti or otherwise) was to focus on how dangerous stalker behavior is, and how absolutely dangerous it is to act like we shouldn't vilify any and all things stalker. I think I might have been too heated about this point on the podcast but I stand firm in my belief that it's simply not taken as seriously as it should be. More idols are speaking out now, but this has been a problem for as long as I've been into kpop.

I knew this UKISS shit would go bad, I frickin knew it.

This is the first time I actually listened to your podcast (I'm trying to avoid studying, and I stumbled on this when I checked the winner tag). You guys have some interesting opinions. I'll definitely check out the older episodes later. (The 'YG is a psycho' line got me.)
