Another episode, another attempt to not bore you listeners silly! This week we welcome back into our fold our dear Kamilia Kiara, back from fighting a bout of the Zika virus (not really, but you were sick for a while, chickie).
We discuss whether BTS is now better at being Big Bang than Big Bang themselves (according to Daily Dot). Titans collide with simultaneous single releases from SNSD member and ex-member Tifanny and Jessica! It's a fight to the fandom death (well mostly a fight to get Tiffany's song outta my head). We wonder what the hell I.O.I has got going, poor Neil from Teen Top and of course the new power rookies: TWICE! And all in a manageable amount of time. Aren't you proud of us? Listen rate and review sha sha SHA ❤

Date: 2016-05-20 06:24 pm (UTC)If this becomes a problem, it might be something we look into assuming we attempt to move more towards an actual news review show, but currently we're just a couple kpop fans that voice our opinion on news topics!
Would you like the show better if we were more unbiased in our comments? (It's impossible to be unbiased in our reviewing of things imo, but we could take a less kpop-fan approach to some things.)
Thanks for listening and for your input!

Date: 2016-05-21 04:23 am (UTC)While i realize it's impossible to be 100% objective when fans talk, I think there is an abject lack of variation in opinions and sometimes it is "hurr durr i like the drama" which honestly is a bit condescending.
Also since you talked about the show not necessarily a 'news show' but the speakers would be expected to be on some level informed about the issues they were talking about (one such episode was where you debated Bobby's 'diss track')
Anyway Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.

Date: 2016-05-21 04:57 pm (UTC)I don't particularly remember the bobby diss track episode, but I do believe that came out when we were a little bit younger in terms of the podcast. I know for ME at least, I was way more willing back then to speak on stuff I didn't know 100 percent. I've tried to back down on speaking from things I don't know as much about, or make it clear that I just don't care and try to let the other podcasters go for it. Generally with how news moves and how busy all of us are we don't know for sure what all everyone wants to talk about. This is probably a structure issue with our show that we should most definitely address though.
Thank you for your input, really it helps a lot, and knowing you listen means a lot. We do want to improve the show so that most more people enjoy it, that's always the goal.

Date: 2016-05-21 07:06 pm (UTC)The reason we gave western examples was just to talk about how different it is. It's a simplistic approach, but we're also trying to keep the pods as close to an hour as we possibly can which is why I think we didn't go more in depth. So we just spoke from a western fan perspective which is really all we try to provide now and honestly it's really weird when you look at it at face value. I think most people who listen to the podcast probably know about the culture and their approach to these things at this point to be honest so I think mostly it was just us (me in particular at least) venting just about how strange it all feels being that I'm a western fan.
I hope people come and see your post though if they just looked at the difference as simple as we laid it out because you've knocked a quick glance at why it's like that very well! Thank you cause I think you did it better than I could ever dream to haha.
Thank you as well for listening again, it means a lot!
