I don't think she meant for it that way or probably cognitive dissonance is telling her that it's the most convenient reasoning in order to make him realize that he needs to change his approach towards them
Oh definitely - I don't hold it against her at all. It's just an annoying stereotype unfortunately, especially in the workforce ("Don't go so hard on her dude, she's a girl!" is a very frustrating thing to hear as a woman LOL like no, don't be a dick to me because that's a shitty thing to do, not because my delicate woman brain can't handle it!)
Yeah, that kinda bothers me too, although I have to admit the fact that it's "You can be an asshole to the guys since guys can handle it but our little delicate woman hearts are too hysterical for that!" bothers me even more LOL. Like they way it's implying that being a woman = being emotional / impulsive / etc just speaks of sooo many gender stereotypes, it feels icky to me.
But like you, I'm glad she spoke up at all! Just wish I didn't hear so much weird internalized gender shit in the way she said it LOL.
