The total views of each rookies who has been active this year has been summed up!
Netizens on Instiz put together the total views from various official YouTube accounts (from January 1st to December 10th 7pm KST), revealing a remarkable amount of views especially for girl group TWICE of JYP Entertainment.



With only one music video out, TWICE impresses with nearly 17 million views for their debut song “Like OOH-AHH.”

Following is iKON with a total of four music videos including “My Type,” “Rhythm Ta,” “Airplane,” and “Apology,” accumulating 41.7 million views in total.

All with two music videos released, G-Friend rakes in 19.3 million views, SEVENTEEN with 16.5 million views, Lovelyz with 9.1 million views (not including two videos released in late 2014 as their pre-debut and debut track as it focuses on 2015 releases), MONSTA X with 7.2 million views, Oh My Girl with 4.8 million views, and CLC with 7.3 million views.

Ranking based on average, TWICE comes in 1st with nearly 17 million views, iKON with an average of 10.4 million views followed by G-Friend, SEVENTEEN, Lovelyz, MONSTA X, CLC, and Oh My Girl.

I'm making myself the same question because they debuted at the end of 2014, so I guess that makes them rookies but just not of this year?

I'm kind of sad for CLC but I think "Like" was a bad idea for their comeback. The style/concept was similar to Pepe but with inferior quality.

Tbh I don't expect that they switch from teenage friendly to something more mature right away because the members are mostly teenagers themselves and it's normal that they do age-appropiate music. Plus rookie kpop groups usually cater to a teen demographic in their first 2-3 years until they're established enought to try something different.

Not that I complain tho, because I like to listen to catchy teen idol trash sometimes lol.

Sonamoo is basically never gonna happen because BAP fans want TS ent to wither and die+the rookie competition is strong. Honestly though, they would probably be doing much better if they had gotten the chance to properly promo as BAP's sister group. Like man, I didn't even like cushion but still. Not even a half a mil views?

Yeah. As BAP's sister group they would have been carrying on the female version of BAP's concept and people would have called them fresh and unique. As a straight up rookie though, their concept just won't work without a major push. It's too bad TS couldn't wait until BAP was settled before they debuted Sonamoo. They might have been doing okay by now.

I think Twice hit 17 millions already? It's impressive how huge of a fanbase they already have with just 2 months into debut. Their song is addicting and they're super fresh and cute tbh. They could be huge in the future.

I wish Seventeen's MV had more views tbh, but for a Pledis rookie is not bad at all. I also thought iKON had more views tbh.
