[스포츠월드=윤기백 기자] CL is staring the engine for her solo debut in the United States with her new song “HELLO BITCHES”.

The project for CL’s solo debut album that has been carried out with Scooter Braun who is managing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande and who helped PSY’s success in the United States is finally being unveiled.

On November 19 at 9am, YG announced such plan by posting the second poster of CL’s “HELLO BITCHES” on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com). In the poster, CL is displaying an eye-catchingly intense image, looking at the front with provocative but calm eyes.

According to the poster, CL will release her new song “HELLO BITCHES” for free on music-sharing website (SOUNDCLOUD) on the 21 this month at 21 o’clock (Korean time). A choreography video for “HELLO BITCHES” will be unveiled on YG’s official blog (www.yg-life.com), music website “Noisey” (noisey.vice.com), and fashion channel “I-D” (i-d.vice.com).

After a year-long preparation for her album to be released in the United States, CL has completed work on the album and the music video for the title track. Before the release of the album, CL will first unveil “HELLO BITCHES” on the 21 this month as a pre-promotion song for her album to be release in the States. The song is known to have a powerful and intense style just as CL’s image. YG’s main producer TEDDY and Jean Baptiste composed the song, with TEDDY, CL, Danny chung, and Jean Baptiste taking part in the lyrics.

The choreography of “HELLO BITCHES” to be released with the song itself was created by Parris Goebel who was the choreographer for BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG” and TAEYANG’s “RINGA LINGA”. As Parris Goebel is famous for her unique style that is more powerful and intense than men, fans are paying keen attention to what kind of original and fascinating performance will be born by the first collaboration between Parris Goebel and CL.

CL has been preparing for her solo debut in the States so far by featuring for Skrillex’s “Dirty Vibe” and Diplo’s single “Dr. Pepper” and by performing for “MDBP” (Mad Decent Block Party) tour with world-famous artists. Music fans are paying keen attention how CL will display her appeals enriched by those experiences on the global stage to global fans through her new song.

On the 19 this month in the afternoon, YG Entertainment announced to Daily Sports, “The two singers have confirmed their attendance at MAMA. They will unveil their new songs for the first time at MAMA, to make the awards all the more special”.

PSY and CL are the singers who are drawing the biggest anticipation from music fans for this end-of-year holiday season. PSY is coming back after two years and eight months of absence and his performance to be unveiled at MAMA is drawing all the more attention, as he is known to have worked especially hard for the new album for a long period of time.

On the 21 this month, CL will release her new song “HELLO BITCHES” with which she will start the engine for her solo debut in the United States. The song will be unveiled for the first time at MAMA. As CL is releasing a new song for the first time in almost two years since the release of 2NE1′s “CRUSH”, many music fans are keenly interested in her new song.

The seventh MAMA will be hosted by CJ E&M on December 2 at Asia World Expo in Hong Kong. The lineup of artists to perform at this year’s MAMA unveiled so far includes PSY, CL, BIGBANG, J.Y. Park, CNBLUE, Zion.T, BTS, GOT7, and iKON.

Whether she fails or succeeds, I just hope people can stop being so extra about her now. I'm tired of people being mad because she gets support from YG. I'm tired of people trying to drag her for the making this advancement when they said nothing about other artists. I'm tired of people making it sound like it's specifically CL's fault 2ne1 ain't making a comeback. Yes, she has some annoying fans but all of these people have annoying fans. So what if some of her fans think she's the greatest. Let it go.

she's going to "flop" anyways because she's a nugu outside of kpop. they're starting from the bottom by making the song free on soundcloud and having her perform at all these festivals. i think it's better than misreading her target audience by having perform on some late-night talk show but we'll see how it pans out. i can always trust YG to screw it up in the end, especially w/ female artists.

if you read the article, it says it will be released on soundcloud for free before the rest of her album. don't know if she will promote it.
