I had the feeling that Lionheart didn't do as well as expected in August but then started climb back in the charts in September? That could be why it's not a month best seller
Wasn't Taeyeon's mini doing better on first week too?

i hope so but i'm doubtful, tbh. their first 50k in sales went to the october chart and they've only sold like 20k since then and they're up against b.a.p, vixx, possibly taemin, exid and bts this month. :/

They don't really flop at digital anymore considering SHINee +Jonghyun, EXO, SNSD + Taeyeon, Red Velvet all did well (all within top 5 digitally in their respective months), and now f(x) are still in the top 10 on Melon and Taeyeon is #4 there a month after release.

They still aren't digital monsters like YG artists but this year they haven't flopped at all. Like the other user said, aside from maybe SuJu and a couple more all SM artists have fared pretty well digitally this year.

Congrats ! EXO slaying for three months is impressive but I'm more impressed by Red Velvet, they're a girl group and barely one-year-old yet there's already up there ! Good <3
I hope Taeyeon is seeing that, she wasn't expecting such a huge success but her sales are sooo big

SM has undoubtely done great this year, both physically and digitally and it's well deserved because almost all the releases have been pretty good.
Yay for BTS too. Their numbers are impressive for a non SM group.

this has been their year in sales, tbqh. musically as well. shinee, RV, f(x), and exo put out some great music. i didnt like most of what SNSD put out but i really enjoyed lion heart. and i havent liked anything suju has put out in ages but their song wasn't bad either.

but it's SM so at this point i'm more impressed by VIXX and BTS.
