Wow at seventeen though. I was in Taiwan when they debuted so I didn't actually see the impact they had - but so far all the news I've seen on them seem to really show how well they've done! I really hope they win at least one rookie award!!

Oh my girl is also coming in last in the current MAMA new girl group voting, which makes me sad. It took b1a4 a long time to make a big impact, too; I don't know if WM has any strategies besides slow and steady.

Yes I feel sad for them but I'm not surprised. Apart from GFriend, they're from the smallest company, it's harder to gather attention right at the beginning.
Their company also don't seem to mediaplay a lot... or even push them when it comes to variety (while Lovelyz/Twice are on V App and I would be really surprised if GFriend/CLC wouldn't use it for the next comeback).
Hopefully Seunghee will slay Masked Singer and bring them some visibility

I'm actually glad all of Seventeen's fansigns had a positive impact for them.

Hanteo where YG's direct sales are not calculated. Most of iKON's sales are through their Lotte Popup store and YG Eshop. I expect their GAON numbers to be better.

They do count them but they are not calculated here because, as you said, YG does not update them often. The reason is for some reason the way Hanteo is certified for YG's e-shop they don't do the daily update so YG doesn’t bother.

YGE shop and lotte popup store albums are not counted on Hanteo sadly so no wonder the numbers are low here.
I thought GFriend's numbers would be higher after all the exposure and support lately. Hopefully they only go up from here they deserve it.

Seventeen is coming for that EXO's crown as new physical monsters I see...lol but really, their sales are im-fucking-pressive for a rookie of a non Big3 company or for a rookie in general. I also thought that Monsta X had sold way less than that but it's not bad at all. On the contrary, I expected GF, Twice and iKON's numbers to be higher.
