Best technique =/= best vocalist. There's a lot of different factors that go into preferring one vocalist over the other like vocal tone/colour, ability to emote, etc.

If they're going mostly by technical proficiency (why else would Taeyeon be #1? And even by that standard...), Taeyang should not be on that list lbr.

I'll admit that Taeyeon and Kyuhyun are good vocalists, but their singing styles bore me. Kyu has a certain deep, richness to his tone that can be used to good effect, tho.

Jjong's voice is hit-or-miss for me - sometimes it gets grating, but I like how distinctive it is.

Is Ailee not considered an idol?

Wish Luna would get more love. Korea really seems to underrate her. However, she's kinda similar to Jung Eunji, in that she's a more compelling vocalist than someone like Taeyeon...but she's not super distinctive-sounding either. Her strength lies in the fact that she's such an all-around talent: voice, dancing, charisma.

I saw someone question why eunji was on this list but not bom and haven't stopped laughing.

I feel like Eunji will have a very good post-idol career. Her voice keeps getting better and she has such amazing control (like how she continues dancing despite belting out a high note versus most idols who stand in place). It's very distinguishable too.

I was never fully impressed with Kyuhyun's vocals ngl. I also wish Solar and Solji were a bit higher up and as much as I love Slayeon I honestly think 3-4 people in this list can be higher up than her.

But I have to admit her solo has really given time to open a new door to her vocal abilities. (Still need a Rocker!Taeng comeback, even if just for one performance lol)

He impressed me (as in actually moved me) in Immortal Song. Masquerade and Etude of Memory. Other than that, maybe 7 Years of Love on Sketchbook? Those really made me appreciate him more as a singer compared to a run of the mill, albeit excellent, vocalist.

Would Junsu take a higher rank after the release of his new solo? I'm always so happy to see him in those lists. SM can't make their talent and recognition disappear.
I kinda agree... but Taeyang? I've always thought that he was underrated (especially with Daesung being a bandmate). His tone is enjoyable but, idk. Let's nominate Chen instead, his Maked Singer songs were impressive
