I'm going to say WIN Team B/SMTM3 Bobby and BI /MAM iKON impacts as well. Since 45% of the listeners on Melon were guys I think Bobby, and BI, on SMTM3 helped.

Their fandom is pretty big...

I actually really enjoy the song now but I also look forward to their next releases

I am so freaking proud of them and I was really surprised that it's mostly people in their 20s streaming. I loved the song when it dropped and I love it now. I hope they're happy and proud of themselves and all the hard work that's finally paying off. Can't wait to hear more.

The song's okay and all (needs better line distribution and less BI/Bobby singing) but what I'm really glad about is that they didn't debut all overtly hep hap like a lot of other boy groups, with oversized streetwear acting all gangsta. Winner had an incredibly classy debut (fave debut concept, alongside AkMu) so I'm looking forward to what iKon's gonna be doing with this sporty concept.

Edit: Oh right, forgot this wasn't their actual debut, just a warm up single. I do look forward to a more hard hitting song like Sinosijak, although I really want a kpop group that does hip hop ala Epik High, lyrical instead of the usual gangsta.

Omona is more Ikon negative then positive, like their golden boys duo already had some issues as I remember (?) Plus everybody here seems to detest YHS&his lies&fucked planning and Ikon is his new shiny toy and a lot of people want some YG's girl to finally come out. So unless they come out with some really quality banger Omona won't be "wow" lol

I see people everywhere calling the song boring - maybe, but it's the kind of coffee shop music that korea loves, hence the results. And the success of this just bought them leeway to be more experimental with the the next song. I think that mv excerpt picture would be a double b track, like what they did with Mino with WINNER's debut. At least I hope it is, I'm really not fond of the graffiti on walls/abandoned warehouse concept lol.

Yeah, sometimes I forget that Korea's taste is usually pretty different from i-fans' taste. We usually prefer upbeat songs/bangers while Korea loves their coffee shop mellow music, and that's why songs like this one or "Some" do so well.

Wow, that's fantastic. I'm happy for any rookie group that puts in so many years of hard work and debuts successfully. They are killing it. My taste in music rarely matches the Korean charts so I'm not surprised they're hitting it big with this.

I admit I was turned off of these kids by YG and his repetitive "BIGBANG 2.0" garbage. That label is annoying to me as a BB fan and unfair to both groups, IMO, but not iKON's fault. I'll definitely give their upcoming releases a listen.

Not every song has to be upbeat. I really like the melody/hook of this song, and the general chill vibe of it. It's better than those mopey slow YG songs that try a bit too hard, and showcases both their singing and rapping.
