Plot: Kim Tae Hyeon (Joo Won) is a talented surgeon. Desperate for money to pay his sister's medical bills, he adopts the code name Yong Pal and offers his medical skills to those in need of medical attention but who cannot do so publicly, dealing with gangsters and corrupt plutocrats. It is while making such a house call that Tae Hyeon rescues "sleeping beauty" Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee), a chaebol heiress, from a medically-induced coma, leading to unintended consequences.

RIP beloved human doll keeper Nurse Hwang :'( Not a fan of saying goodbye to the some of fun female characters. I *AM* a fan of everything else YONG PAL chooses to be! It continues to have refreshing and unexpected twists. I like the pacing... I like Tae Hyun and Yeo Jin establishing what they mean to each other this early on. I like that all the shady characters are actually fun and dangerous-- I can feel the stakes. The big-baddies don't seem to be an afterthought like the chaebol inheritance drama/childhood switcheroo nonsense that could ruin a drama *coughKillMeHealMecough*. IDK I really appreciate the slower, quieter lovely focus on the two leads that manages to feel ominous at the same time.

can i just say that dramabeans commentors have absolutely no fucking chill? since when was a kiss of appreciation = marriage?? it's not even => penis in vagina! and yeo jin had asked him to wait for her literally a minute before she confessed her feelings lol

There have been so many dramas lately where I feel the opposite of the comments there...like I think someone is pushy and demanding (ex. Kang Seo Joon's character in Sly and Single Again or Sungjae's character in School 2015) and they are all like *swoon*

Then again I thought the same of Chilbongie and supported Trash Oppa and that was an awesome mess lol...

Honestly something weird has been happening with the pacing of the last two eps but it's not enough to turn me off this drama. I have faith that it'll gonna pick up again in the next few episodes.
I'm ready for Kim Tae Hee's character to become the bad ass she's meant to become. I've never wanted someone to take revenge this much ever. Her evil brother and that corrupt chairman need to go down.

i just think it seems drastic because the previous 6 episodes all had a lot of action sequences while this one is more recalibrating and setting up for something bigger. otherwise, a lot happened in these two eps too. we have the surgery, chairman go trapping evil bro, cops advancing on yong pal and his colleague suspecting his identity, nurse hwang peacing out :'(, etc.

Yeah a lot happened but the last two episodes still seemed really slow compared to the others and that's why I feel like it's gonna pick up again in the next few episodes. Hopefully this is all build up for when Yeo Jin begins her ruthless ascent to her rightful place at the top.
Another reason I think the past two eps were slower is because she's dealing with a lot right now: she's fearing that the alliance between her brother and the chairman leave her no room to return to the top, she's mourning the death of her lover etc. Which are valid reasons for the slower pacing but what also slowed it down and what really annoyed me were the amount of flashback scenes. There are wayyyy too many flashback scenes.

The drama got high ratings when it was aired. The lead girl is such a bitch and I really do feel like slapping her face everytime she appear on screen lol. But she was really lovely irl (in WGM) so I thought it was amazing since she always stuck with evil characters in all her drama career.

Still loving the drama. However, you can start feeling how are they going to drag the drama after they announced the extra episodes extension. It almost feel weird when they start to prolong the dream scene and if they show the accident scene again for the 10th times, Im gonna pull my hairs out. :P

And I wish they will study more on the medical part of the drama. There's no way Kim Taehee's character can stand let alone walk after 3 years of coma. I like that Taehyun stressed how she need to do physical therapy but it just not enough, I guess?

But the church scene is just too cute. The part where he said 'I dont want to be jealous of a dead guy' to her calling him right after that is just awesome. I love that they dont hold the romance part right until the second part of the drama. But the writer seemed a bit inexperience imo -- you dont make Yeojin ask Taehyun to wait for her and followed that by their first kiss scene. Its inconsistence and too early after the death of her boyfriend still fresh on her mind. She basically didnt have the time to get over him as time basically stopped for her after the accident.

I hope the pace will resume back after this week! :3

writer copied a webtoon and prolly the reason last two episodes dragged is because they stopped copying. idk really, that webtoon was supposed to be turned into a drama starring human trash khj but it got scrapped.

they read completely different to me based on the summaries and i usually take the comments of netizens with a grain of salt. (i also don't necessarily agree that last week's eps dragged because the plot was definitely moving despite there being no flashy stunts and there was a reason for it). thanks though.

This drama is crazy fun. I thought the dream sequence was way too long...
I can't really predict the plot which is why I like this. The last 2 ep. Seems a bit laid back but the romance was quick. I like how they didn't drag it on too long. I'm going to miss Cynthia.

This week was pure filler. But it's SBS's fault for asking for 4 extra episodes.

The loveline feels rushed. If the writer was going to get them together like that she should have made them hook up. So that they could blame it on near death hormones or whatever and move on like nothing happened in episode 9. BUT I still love them together and I've been waiting for their babies since KTH eye-fucked JW in the cellphone scene lol

Cynthia~ you will be missed (the drama should have been about her).

not gonna lie, I was going through a bit of despair when I saw the articles of Stephanie leaving the show, which meant that my first otp Tae Hyun x Cynthia was going to die ;_; I loved how baddass she was (and how she was not wearing heels! lol, it added to me liking her even more)

I'm really starting to like sis-in-law too now bc at first I thought she was just going to be a pain but now I hope she's going to become a partner in crime. Ohhh I can't wait for the moment Yeo Jin will start her revenge and blows everyone out of the water. Already looking forward to the moment she's going to surprise everyone with the fact she's still alive 'Surprise b*tches, I'm still A L I V E \o/ !'

The love line does seem to be very rushed in the last two eps. I kinda predicted that Yeo Jin would eventually stick to Tae Hyun but not to the point she already loves him. I didn't see that kiss coming, I thought it was too early. Though at least it was a bit obvious that Tae Hyun liked her a bit more than just friends but that much? Or I'm suddenly turning blind (or just not over the heart break of my first otp who is no more...)

Also, I don't think I've ever been so disinterested into a police investigation. Mr. cop, move on please, don't ruin it please, there are already more than enough hyenas laying around. I would like him to stay away from mob boss and his lackey too. I love them and how protective they are over Yongpallie~ XD
