Big Hit Assures Fans That BTS’ Jimin Is Okay After Fainting and Falling Off Stage at Fan Meeting

Big Hit Entertainment has swiftly responded to worrisome reports of BTS member Jimin fainting and falling at a fan meeting Japan.

The agency took to their official Twitter on August 18, revealing the details of the accident and Jimin’s state.

“Member Jimin had an accident, falling off the stage, during BTS’ “Japan Official Fan Meeting Undercover Mission” held today in Osaka, Japan. He was moved to the local Sumitomo Hospital and after receiving a careful medical examination, we have learned that during a game, he suddenly held his breath for a long time, causing his parasympathetic nervous system to take over. Resultantly, he lost his balance and his heart rate temporarily dropped, losing his consciousness and falling off the stage.”

Bit Hit assured fans that Jimin is doing okay and that there have been no big effects on his health, “While it is true that Jimin did fall off the stage, the results of a careful medical examination show that it’s just a light contusion with no effect on his health, and he is currently resting up at the hotel,” the agency shared. “We want to sincerely apologize for causing worry to those who were watching the performance and to the rest of the fans.”

“Going forward, we promise to take the greatest care in ensuring the health and safety of Jimin and [the rest of] BTS.We want to sincerely apologize for causing worry to those who were watching the performance and to the rest of the fans. Jimin also tweeted to assure fans that he was okay!

Poor thing. He's a lot more competitive than I thought if he managed to make himself pass out.

Also, the level of drama and distrust some of the international fans have for big hit is annoying and extremely bratty. Complaining about the lack of rest but whining night and day when there aren't constant updates. (ｰｰ;)

That's exactly why he passed out. His nervous system took over. Having him lose consciousness made him stop holding his breath, allowing him to get the air he was denying himself. I've seen friends pass out while holding competitions on holding their breath.

Yeah, it might have happened because he "held his breath for too long" but that's not the only reason. Just like with B.A.P prior to their lawsuit, these boys have been going non-stop since their debut. With Jimin in particular, he's very self-conscious of his weight, exercises a lot, and has poor eating habits (like not eating at all). Group those issues in with non-stop work and more-than-likely poor sleep habits and you've got a disaster waiting to happen.

I wanna believe he did get to go see a doctor and is okay, but just like B.A.P again, they also got to see doctors but their company was still super shitty about it and gave them no time to rest. I hope he's okay. :(

when i first heard the news i was so ready to fight bighit

idk i still kinda am like i really don't believe that was the only reason for his fainting. it's no secret that's he's over exercising along with not eating enough to gain back muscles and abs. that and bts have been working non stop since like march haven't they? even before they didn't catch a break but this year has seriously just been "go go go" for them. they're coming back to the states next month and while i was ecstatic that they were coming to my state now i'm mad because those dates could be used for resting or sleeping not performing even more than already need be.

bts is turning into b.a.p with how over worked they are. i don't know if bighit is mistreating them behind the scenes or not and i know bts has a considerably unhealthy mentality never resting and just going nonstop with full energy but i really don't want them to turn into b.a.p

i'm not saying bighit is on the same levels as ts bc i honestly don't know but they're not pure saints like some fans describe them to be: look at glam, for instance.
