It's aggravating and gross and upsetting that this was his idea of impactful lyrics. I hope he learns from this and knows why it upset so many people instead of just learning how to hide it better.

Incles need to stop acting like he's 12 and needs to be defended from the big bad internet world. This was fully his fault and they need to acknowledge that. I can't at them twisting this whole controversy and saying that other fandoms are just trying to bring him down or that blacknut is worse. This isn't a competition on who's the bigger piece of shit.

This controversy is so stupid, just like this Mino line. Young man bragging about his probably non existent sexual prowess using rather unfortunate metaphor, and everybody and their uncle are offended because...? I mean it's all sad and what not that most popular hip hop sub genre in SK is all about macho posturing and dick waving but they only selling what public wants to buy.
And I'm curious how people in here gonna be "disappointed" in Mino, when we have this Carmen Electra gif, circulating in here since forever, and probably it's been posted at least few times in Mino related post, so in the end he didn't lie, technically~

it's a controversy b/c he sexualized an act (visiting the OBGYN) that the medical community seeks to desexualize (b/c women often avoid seeing their OBGYN b/c of the shame that society still puts on women's private parts). This is not a controversy about sex or sexual desires, but him sexualizing a medical visist that needs to be desexualizred.

I also have a problem with the "M-I-N-O attacking your daughters / split [your legs]" line that comes just before he says "as you would at an OBGYN".

I am slightly miffed that YG will let Mino apologize for this (as he should) but when the CL Quran sample happened and we had the Korean Muslim federation speak up, no apology was ever given.

Edit: after reading the entire letter my main reactions is "lol". This is probably one of the best "I'm sorry you feel offended" apologies in recent months. Good job at deflecting by putting most of the blame on the show, but let's see how you continue to break that idol stereotype when you're punking out like this lol

there was a line in one his raps which said "mino attacking your daughters, split [your legs] as you would at a ob/gyn" (x (https://twitter.com/chrissy96_/status/619551924367405057/photo/1)) it's a bad line, but i don't know how out of control it got? i heard that a korean ob/gyn association or something were planning to sue yg and mino if mino didn't apologize - i'm not sure if that's true or not. the suing part is unnecessary but mino does need to learn better and not write lyrics like these....

I really can't understand how guys can sexualize ob/gyn medical check-ups. It's clear that they don't understand a thing about women and it pisses me off. It's already difficult for women (and sexualized enough), no need to make it even worse.
Lately a friend who's normally interested in feminist issues made a sexualized comment about ob/gyn meetings (guess he still has a lot to learn...) and just... No. Between him and Mino's rap, I'm so chocked to realize it.
But I guess that, as soon as uterus and boobs are involved, it can only means sex. Or babies. Isn't it what women are made for, eh? ... #sarcasm
Glad Mino was called out for the lyrics, now I hope that he thinks more before writing a rap and never does this kind of mistake again. Though this apology doesn't say if he knows what was insensitive and why...
