i really love physical albums, especially the packaging that kpop albums have (i loved pink tape's concept). if i lived in korea i'd buy a bunch of them, i also like the photocards you get, it's very cool.

I know for the Overdose, Growl and XOXO albums SM has been smart and putting K members photo cards in the Chinese version and vice versa. So Kfans usually buy both versions.

I think Donghae & Eunhyuk are two of the more popular SJ members, esp. in China and Japan.
They sold their two Japan Arena Tour well, and even expand to China for the second tour.
The "EunHae" also plays role in their gains.

they are! but that's on gaon, not hanteo. hanteo only counts sales from shops that are "certified" by them while gaon counts virtually every place under the sun. at this point their sales on hanteo's chart are about 137k with both versions combined on but they were charted as having sold 165k during their first two weeks of sales / the last two weeks of may on gaon so they topped gaon's may chart. they're probably over 200k by now, tbh.

They were 165k on Gaon in only 2 weeks. On Hanteo sales are always way lower because they count the actual sales and not the albums shipped to every store. Combing the 2 versions together they've already sold 138k and that only in just over a month.

idts. i've seen hyosung, bts, b1a4, myname, sistar (along with soyu / junggigo and hyorin during her solo), sunggyu, teen top, nine muses, spica, aoa, exo, rainbow, girl's day, block b, and the list goes on accused of both digital and physical sajaegi but i can't think of an actual instance that it's ever been proven. (unless i'm missing one which is totally possible.) i've read before that it's possible to disprove physical sajaegi, which they were able to do when bts was accused of it last month and a month or two before that, but it's impossible to do it with digital sajaegi because charts fluctuate so often to begin with (especially when fandoms are mass streaming). it sucks either way because the second a group gets accused of it and netizens catch on to that it'll stick to the group or artist like glue / be brought up every now and again / to a tired extent.

So happy that D&E are up there, I hope they are recognized more..
They might not be the most musically-talented unit SJ has in term of voice, but they know how to entertain their fans.. their Japan Tour are fun to watch for the interaction slash trolling with the fans..
also, the fact that Donghae (with team One Sound) wrote the title track and one other song in the album AND 3 other songs in the Special repackage album.. It's a pity that Donghae got little publicity for the music he compose..

BTS maybe still don't have that much public popularity in Korea, but their fanbase is increasing day by day and they're becoming SUPER popular internationally. Plus do people realize that they released their album like 3 weeks before SHINee? Plus they're not even counting both SHINee versions together (idg why since it's the same album just with different photobooks?). If we combine the two versions SHINee's already sold around 140k in barely a month.

it's because the barcode / serial on both versions of shinee's album are different. it's the same way with the m and k versions of exodus / love me right. apparently bangtan's album had two versions as well but the barcode / serial was the same so they were counted together, not separately.

I didn't even know BTS had two versions and I'm glad you said it because I'm seeing lots of BTS fans already mocking SHINee for being outsold by just one version of BTS album, when 1) BTS' album was released 3 weeks before and 2) If both released 2 versions then there's not even that much difference. Relatively, SHINee did even better because they've sold around 140k with the 2 versions combined and in just over a month while those 150k BTS sold were in almost 2 months, so...

I'm a BTS fan too, but some ARMYs are being insufferable with this.
