Within just two years of its debut, Winner will take off on a hall tour in Japan.

Kicking off at the Shiga Biwako Hall on September 6, Winner will continue on to Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hokkaido and more, making stops in 10 cities to hold a total of 17 concerts and meet with 36,000 fans.

Last year, the group launched a tour with its debut in Japan, traveling to 5 cities for 11 concerts to meet with 25,000 fans. With this tour, Winner will be going to cities they were unable to hit up before.

Winner released its debut Japanese album 2014 S/S -Japan Collection- last year, ranking second on the Oricon Weekly Chart despite being a rookie group, receiving a hot response from locals.

Kang Seung Yoon stated, "Continuing on from Winner′s first Japan tour last year, we′re happy to be holding concerts on our first hall tour this year. We want to perform live with a warm atmosphere and worldview in order to become one with the fans through music again. As the venue will enable us to be closer to the audience, we want to perform feeling a sense of unity."

Winner′s leader Kang Seung Yoon was cast in his first lead role alongside 2NE1′s Sandara Park in web drama We Broke Up, while Nam Tae Hyun challenged himself in a lead role in MBC Every1′s webdrama Girl of Midnight. Song Min Ho will appear in Mnet′s Show Me the Money 4 in June, as the members continue to show off their individual talents.

Meanwhile Korean fansites are closing down...

ugh stanning them is so exhausting and frustrating srsly. like it's great that at least they're doing /something/ but how are they gonna stay relevant in korea if they never comeback and promote there?? explain this to me yg

i need to stop letting myself in with yg artists honestly

I guess he's hoping they become like 2NE1 and manage to be successful even when doing literally nothing but some endorsements here and there.

I sort of hoping mino to do well in smtm so at least people will be aware of his group, maybe

YG, I know you want them to be the second Big Bang so you have something to tide you all over when they have to go to the army, but that doesn't mean you can start having them spend more time touring in Japan than doing anything in Korea already.

IIRC he specifically said he wants iKon to be the next BB, not Winner.

This isn't BIGBANG where people will check on them even if they wait 3 years to release an album YG...

I need to take over running this company STAT. Fist person on my list of people to save would be CL followed by 2NE1 and these guys...

i can see YG won't have time slot for anyone who is not BB this year (ok MAYBE they could sneak an ikon debut later) but T____________T WHY IS IT SO HARD TO STAN ANYONE FROM THIS COMPANY WHY

YG is fucking them over, just let them have a comeback already, they're still rookies, they have time to act in dramas and tour Japan.

I don't think we can even call them jpop rookies though. At least when other groups are shipped to Japan they bother releasing a single album there. (-.-)

Seriously, YG needs to get his act together, so done with this.

this is so ridic. both 2ne1 and big bang promoted a lot when they debuted. if they don't have a comeback this year, yg is even more stupid than i thought. their fandom is growing smaller. they will move on to groups who come back more frequently, like got7. i seriously don't understand.
i wish i never got into them tbh. although i'm mainly hf mino and seungyoon, i like jinwoo and seunghoon just fine. taehyun can gtfo tho

I want a Korean comeback tho. I kind of miss them.

No Winner, no iKon, no 2ne1, no LeeHi, no new GG, no AKMU. *frustrated* But lots of BB to soothe us, so ig we shouldn't complain too much. But Winner is gonna have a lot of catching up to do when they finally come back.

Winner is going the way of all YG acts releasing material but they are still better off than Lee Hi, AkMu, iKON, and Pink Punk

The people bringing iKON into this post implying YG wants Winner to fail for them need to find some chill and lose the paranoia

YG needs all of NextGen

no one is saying YG wants Winner to fail, of course he doesn't want to lose his investment.

we're saying they will fail because of his shitty management.

neither iKON or Pink Punk have debuted though, so they're not really comparable.

And what about the rest?

they haven't been gone /too/ long by yg standards, but too long for a rookie group who hasn't had a single comeback to follow up their debut. big bang can get away with not having any new material for 3 years, but winner can't

If YG can't schedule a Korean album for Winner for this summer, at least they should let Avex/YGEX give them a Japanese album, so that they would have actually something new to perform on their tour.

YG is so messy, I guess he wants IKON to win over them.

Why are people talking like YG's putting them on cryo for the next 3 years, didn't they just release their debut album last year? And a full album at that, not a mini? I love Winner, but if we're talking comebacks the lineup should be Lee Hi > Akmu > Winner imo.

Also, YG wants IKON to 'win' over Winner? IKON hasn't even debuted yet, those poor basement-dwellers.

Seriously though, if Winner has a comeback in the middle of BB promos/summer girl group rush I bet everyone who wanted their comeback is going to shit a brick and blame YG for poor planning.

Is it true that their fansites are closing down?

Yes, a lot of Winner fansites have closed down (even this past week quite a few have closed, big accounts too) and more are on hiatus (understandable, since there's no activity atm).

Where is that thread where we bet on when iKON would debut... I think I put my bet on September...

And I even though I'd love to have a WINNER comeback, I'm glad they're doing lots of concerts because that means they're raking in cash. Yeah for YG mostly, but also for themselves.
