SM Entertainment, BigHit Entertainment & Jellyfish Entertainment have announced a special collaboration between the leaders of their popular boy bands. One member from each company will come together to form a trio called “Eye Candy” consisting of TVXQ’s Yunho, BTS’s Rap Monster, & VIXX’s N.
They have expressed high hopes for the collaboration to be a success & an interesting new venture between company relations, an SM representative said "Though this may seem sudden, we had started thinking of this project group last year after VIXX & BTS did covers of TVXQ’s songs ‘Hug’ & ‘Something.’"
When asked for his thoughts on the project group TVXQ’s Yunho said, "I have been impressed by the work ethic that the leaders of VIXX & BTS possess so because of that I wanted to have a chance to work these hoobaes in this capacity."
In response to this, VIXX’s leader N giggled in glee, "To hear such a compliment from a sunbae I respect greatly - I cannot really get my thoughts together. Though I did not get to perform ‘Hug’ with my members last year to pay respect to TVXQ, I feel incredibly honored to get to work with Yunho as a member of Eye Candy."
The leader of BTS also expressed his excitement, ”Although this isn’t my preferred genre of music, I think it is an honor to work with sunbaes who have established themselves well in the industry. Please give us a lot of love.”
For this project group they will be taking on new stage names to fit with their band name: U-Know Yunho will become Yumho, VIXX’s N will become Hakyum & BTS’s Rap Monster will become Nams. This project group is expected to debut next month on Mcountdown & the music video is set to film this week. Let’s hope that fans can handle Eye Candy’s delicious concept that will certainly be a visual treat.
